That little smirk that he gives when they all start booing is amazing. That’s something season 1 Jamie would do, but now it’s a completely different man doing it
I really like the choice to have Jamie score the goal on his own. In the earlier stages of the series, he had to learn to play as part of a team, and by this stage he had got so in his own head about being everything his dad hates that it ended up limiting him. This is the point where, having decided to get past his hatred of his dad, he is able to just be fully himself symbolised here by not being afraid to score the goal on his own, and then later after the match showing how he is still genuinely a changed man and part of the team by all the effort he makes to praise the other players and show how much he values them. A fully changed and confident Jamie has emerged, and we all get teary-eyed and celebrate with him.
I love Jamie's radiating confidence. even when the crowd booed him, he owned the moment and showed no sign of being down. instead he encouraged them lol
This clip doesnt show it but he comes off straight after and gets a standing ovation, and the original guy in the crowd makes a comment about how good that was, and I just really like the full circle moment of the match
Richmond score early, and Manchester City respond by hammering them for the remainder of the match., Van Damme makes several saves to keep his team in front. Then Jamie injures himself saving another goal and Ted chooses to play with ten men for five minutes while Jamie is recovering on the touch line. While Jamie is off, Van Damme makes a triple save against a dominating City. While the game goes on and Jamie receives treatment, Ted sees Jamie scanning the crowd and goes to speak to him about his dad, whom he is looking for. Ted knowing he is unsettled, suggests giving himself the gift of forgiving his dad and Jamie takes a moment to consider what that would mean. Eventually, Jamie is ready to return... After the goal, Jamie is subbed and as he walks off the City crowd give him a respectful ovation.
Jamie Taart is Jamie Vardy, Roy Kent is Roy Keane, Sam Obisanya is Bukayo Saka (from LE to PD) obviously, and nate is a villain parody of Mikel arteta (that leave man city for arsenal). Nate was assistent couch and became manager lighting for the title just like arteta. TOO MANY REFERENCES FOLKS!!
This is basically American BS. If you want to live in the real world, see what happened yesterday with Chelsea versus Manchester City four goals each, that is the real world, the best world the only world of the premiership.🇬🇧🏴🇬🇧
Do you think we believe Superman is real? The purpose of any fiction is to be a reflection, not the real thing. Let's face it, most of football is waiting around for moments like this to happen, and they happen so rarely. But sports films like this remind us why we watch the real thing in the first place.

Yeah, I hate when TV and movies are not realistic at all times! Those Americans just ruin everything with their turning entertainment into something fantastical. That's why I stick to realistic British stuff like Monty Python and Black Adder. Now excuse me while I go read some James Bond and watch Harry Potter.
They didn't show the goal, they showed the man. A superlative choice by the director, because that's where the true victory lay.
I just thought the EXACT same thing! You said it very succinctly, yet elegantly.
This series was never about football :D
Just as Trent's book was never about Ted.@@Shugarcloud
I never noticed this before but absolutely right! Fantastic!
Indeed!

YES!
it felt good to see him get his wings back

This scene got me. ALL the tears. (Not shown here-it's right after, when Man City cheers for him too)

Fr. Also that quick clip of his father in rehab cheering for him

Jamie's mom Screaming at the TV was everything.
And her boyfriend cheering/screaming with her. Completely different vibe from Ted’s ex wife and the therapist lol

Isn't it the same guy in the crowd that abused McAdoo.
@@LostWhitsnah that was a Richmond fan
@@nathanlatham5651 I assumed it was the same actor. I was wrong.
McAdoo's pass is not talked about enough.
all that powa is useful often :-)
A fucking dot
Because its not real???
Damn, Sherlock@@seanheid9123
Propa route one football, Man City could never
When Jamie smirked at the crowd, he acted like a prick and you knew it was a done deal.
Zoro was the unsung hero of this game.
Who? Oh u mean van damme
U miswrote Van Damme
You mean van dame
After He Started wearing the Black Face Guard He wanted to be known as "Zorro".
Aww, look at how happy Sam is to see Jamie coming in :') Such a good show.
Cut the best part, the reaction from the fans as he walks off.. smh

The most unrealistic part of this is how many people are in the Etihad
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Four time consecutive Premier League champions. Surprised there isn't a waiting list for tickets

YOU DONT KNOW ABOUT TAART DUDE IS WORLD CLASS!
Still get goose bumps.
recommend the Tart and Roy kind episode where Taart teaches Kent how to ride a bike . so funny and amazing episode.
Fun fact I’m the ball boy in the background 😂😂
Never seen the Emptyad so full
You can tell this is a movie....there's actually Man City fans! 😂
C'mon city
That guy from 442oons
Away end genuinely should be where it is in Ted Lasso irl
i'm surprised there were that many City fans in the stadium...
I've only ever heard of one Man City fan
Always my nine, Jamie Tart tutururuturu
Man Jamie had the most growth as a character
Annoying how everything up to the shot looks pretty real but then there's no movement when he actually kicks it
Show was damn good (till season 3) but the football scenes have always been dreadful if you're looking for anything that makes sense.
There are too many fans in the Etihad. They should of had 20K empty seats like a normal game there.
A fifth game in a row without victory for Man City

You just made up all those names, didn't you!? (j/k)
Nate gave me Jose Mourinho vibes tbh
I always got Jack Grealish vibes from Jamie, although i could be very wrong.
@@ScottishLesbianWitchIt's the hair isn't it?
Wouldn't have that many people in that stadium😂
somebody remind me the situation here ... Richmond is already up 1-0 by the scoreboard, so this puts it at 2, did they need to win by 2?
Is he based on Grealish? Looks and acts like it. Never seen the show haha
Yeah think so! He’s a combination of a few famous footballers same with a lot of the other characters. Well worth the watch if you get the time
Grealish, Mount and Bullard
grealish wont score
We all know that "Jamie Tartt" actually plays for Man City (although not that often this season).
Uk it’s fictional when man city has a full stadium
Then VAR disallowed the goal because he looked at someone the wrong way.
You can till it is a film city never fill there stadium 😂😂
what kind of a goal scene is that??
Ref let him on without his shin pads. No VAR I guess to do the job for him or her or they.
This is a fantasy show then?
Not completely. The only fantastical element is West Ham being a formidable opponent 🤣
#stopgreenscreentrainers 😅
Fake movie, Man City don’t have this many fans in stadium like ever
👍
