Spore 2, it's released. +4000 new creatures, +4 new stages (Aquatics, Solar, Molecular, Town), Each stage extended and made x3 more fun, +2 new galaxies to explore, Galaxy size increased by 3. Added +57 new archetypes, a whole new world beyond the core - Kill spode and become the God of the universe. +250 new adventures, insane amounts of bug fixes and much, much more. *but then i woke up*

@@msfritz9158 no , because the Korma empire (My creatures) first created the Mokto metal and then the Moktoleum and when they had pieces from the first spaceship that ended in my planet Also the Korma still have Tribal traditions , at the age of 20 in the Moktoleum you will be given an shield and a Kara (An Tipe of sword used in my Spore roleplay) And you will have to kill an alpha and gathere the meat and the head
EA rushed it because the game was gonna be so large, they were going to need new computers for the project, and decided to oversimplify it because at that rate it wouldn't make back anything to cover the costs of making the game. It would take such a toll on devices that most household computers in 2005 wouldn't be able to handle it. Maybe computers today can definitely handle the unstifled content, but at the time it would be impossible for everyone to experience it without a custom computer. It was all about selling the game to a larger demographic through availability. So technically speaking, we were all lucky that it was made for lower quality computers, otherwise a lot of people would be turned off by the idea of having to custom order an expensive computer just to play that EA game they thought looked cool, and it wouldn't have gotten as much traction. Granted, I would have loved the uncut beauty of this game, but knowing the history of it I can only keep saying I wish it were that way.

In the space stage it is meaningless, as in opens up nothing and achieves nothing, to have a huge empire. Have a dozen or two quality systems and you will have enough money to do anything you want. If you could transfer spice over a long distance and store up large amounts then it would make some sense.

It's not like the trailer shows it. There's only 5 stages (2D cell stage, creature stage, tribal stage [kinda terrible imo], city stage, and space stage) there's no epic shots of the cells like it shows, and probably other stuff I didn't see. It did carry out on the terrible graphics though. Overall though I'd say still a good game. Probably watch some playthroughs to get an idea of the real game (There's no real story to spoil soooo...)

Secondly, yes it's normal to make trailers look cooler than the actual game, but this one ACTUALLY has content in the trailer that isn't in the game, so therefore it has false promises that should be addressed before someone buys it, which is what I was trying to do.

Yeah, the City stage was something akin to the Simcity gameplay, where you had to develop the cities and had calamities, random events, build roads ect ect. EA ruined everything.

Spore is still the absolute best game I’ve ever played and will always be my favourite. I’m still a little sad it didn’t take the direction it was originally going for, but god what I would do for a Spore successor or something close to it. No game really feels the same as Spore

one thing people don't really talk about with this ad is that it is very different from most modern ads most of the modern ones boil down to "lets have the nintendo direct guy describe what you do in the game while some gameplay happens in the background" or it is actually just random stuff from the game stitched together in a trailerish sort of way don't ever really see this anymore... a true treasure
Look up the game "Thrive" It's basically Spore, but scientifically accurate, made by a team of volunteers. It isn't very far right now though, they've only made about a third of the microbe stage, but can already see that it's going to be so much better than Spore
Wander Stribos I've seen it... I would never say that it will be able to compete with spore. Spore had a huge team, and took over ten years to fully develop. Thrive will take AGES with a team that small.

They're getting more programmers, the latest update has removed almost all of the last temporary and ugly solutions to most things (no more compound emitters, actual cells, etc.), so they are expecting more "attention", which will in turn generate more programmers. Also, it looks SO MUCH more promising

I really want a sequel, even thought the game has its problems I still love it. I think if we could get a sequel or maybe even a spiritual successor that would have everything they originally envisioned would be amazing
SCREW YOU ELECTRONIC FARTS You left out the only stage that could have made 3-dimentional movement in space possible in the Spore universe. You also left out blood and ragdoll physics.

Dear EA we don't need another Sims or Simcity just give us Spore 2. Actually, the guy who made Spore quit right after it came out because EA made him water it down. Spore 2 was never going to happen. All we can hope for is a spiritual successor

I,d like to see Spore in a more advanced version. I don,t really care about the aquatic stage but the tribal and civilization are way to simple and short. Like, in civilization stage your nation could do resreaches - That,s weird when your race from spears and huts immediately evolves into technologically advanced nation. EA and Maxis are currently aiming on mainstream what is an problem. I hope Spore 2 or some full conversion mod will be made.

This is what we wanted, EA. Not the simplified bullshit for kids you forced Will Wright and his team to make(don't get me wrong, the game still cool, but not as cool as the original idea.) Spore deserves a remake.
@@_Yombo The Spore content and stuff Will Wright showed us in the demostrantions from 2005 - 2006. The final version of the game is not truly what Spore was in fact intended to be, it was what they could do, based on their etc limitations and rules EA put
Fun fact! Acording to the spore wiki, the creature seen at 0:49 in the video actually made it into the final game and is called Lowha, however though, it looks quite different in the final game than in the original trailer.
I don't care about people saying how it could have been much better. This is one of my favorite games of all time, especially Space Stage, which is awesome.
Tbh every stage could be its own game if they made it longer. They had something really good going with the civilisation stage but then the "press this button to win the stage" button was invented

Spore is still the absolute best game I’ve ever played and will always be my favourite. I’m still a little sad it didn’t take the direction it was originally going for, but god what I would do for a Spore successor or something close to it. No game really feels the same as Spore

It's basically Spore, but scientifically accurate, made by a team of volunteers. It isn't very far right now though, they've only made about a third of the microbe stage, but can already see that it's going to be so much better than Spore
Wander Stribos I've seen it... I would never say that it will be able to compete with spore. Spore had a huge team, and took over ten years to fully develop. Thrive will take AGES with a team that small.

They're getting more programmers, the latest update has removed almost all of the last temporary and ugly solutions to most things (no more compound emitters, actual cells, etc.), so they are expecting more "attention", which will in turn generate more programmers. Also, it looks SO MUCH more promising
It's a shame that they never added anything to do with underwater as shown in the trailer. Shame they'll more than likely never have updates or another game following Spore. It's my favorite game.

This trailer is so awesome. I cry a little every time I think about this game. Why did EA have to get rid of all the things we wanted in the game, then just completely abandon it a year and a half after it's release?

Doesn’t maxis own the sims genre. Like isn’t ea still publishing maxis games. There’s a triple a game due this year or next year from maxis. Wasn’t confirmed to be the sims or simcity. Actually, the guy who made Spore quit right after it came out because EA made him water it down. Spore 2 was never going to happen. All we can hope for is a spiritual successor

I,d like to see Spore in a more advanced version. I don,t really care about the aquatic stage but the tribal and civilization are way to simple and short. Like, in civilization stage your nation could do resreaches - That,s weird when your race from spears and huts immediately evolves into technologically advanced nation. EA and Maxis are currently aiming on mainstream what is an problem. I hope Spore 2 or some full conversion mod will be made.

This is what we wanted, EA. Not the simplified bullshit for kids you forced Will Wright and his team to make(don't get me wrong, the game still cool, but not as cool as the original idea.) Spore deserves a remake.

Fun fact! Acording to the spore wiki, the creature seen at 0:49 in the video actually made it into the final game and is called Lowha, however though, it looks quite different in the final game than in the original trailer.
I don't care about people saying how it could have been much better. This is one of my favorite games of all time, especially Space Stage, which is awesome.
