      Glad about that; venerable old AEC, makes all the right noises, and a very forgiving vehicle.
      I have another Atlantean video to go next week, too.

      @@richardwalker_ Sweet, will look forward to that. Puzzled why the Lodekka was so cumbersome and out dated when semi auto was available. Love a Lodekka of course, but these would have been so much easier to drive.

      @@BristolRE I guess it comes down to cost and engineering preference. There were some late Lodekkas with s/a, but they were unusual. I find I have difficulty getting my left leg clear of the steering wheel in one - the VR (and certainly the National) must have been a revelation by comparison!

    I live around Seattle. I use Craigslist for entertainment. I have 2-3 times seen old double decker buses for sale for not a high price. Tempted but my condo association would not be happy.

      As we say here, “buying is the easy part”! Storage and insurance can be expensive, spares can be difficult to acquire and repairs are always difficult as everything is that much larger. But few things better when it all goes right.

    What to the zig-zag lines mean?

    • @richardwalker_
      @richardwalker_  2 āļŦāļĨāļēāļĒāđ€āļ”āļ·āļāļ™āļāđˆāļāļ™ +1

      The white zig-zags indicate a pedestrian crossing and mean no stopping - essentially to keep a clear sight line to help cross the road. There’s also a yellow version of the marking which can be used near schools, again no stopping.
