i have done this 6 months and on some cuttings I have tiny roots and new life and its still green so this does work. I put some in water and some in soil the soil method worked for me just have to be patient
Great video, I'm in the process of making a bonsai forest using conifers. Im not sure what my variety is but its looks and smells how you described yours
We didn't get any roots sadly, I've done an update video dedicated to showing the things that haven't worked for me so far, including seeds too, I usually find people show everything that's going well but not the other side
Ah ok, that's a shame. I've got a Conifer, Boxwood, and Ligustrum I'm going to try this with. I'm going to try to water propagate them and see how that works. I'll definitely check out more of your videos though. Thank you for the reply.
@@danielbowen3266 you're welcome I hope they work out for you. Water propagation hasn't worked for me either maybe I just don't have those magic green fingers 🤔 but I do try
I've tried to root Hesperocyparis macrocarpa 'Goldcrest' cuttings so many times so far but haven't got any success yet. I don't think it's a very-easy-to root species. Best Conifers for rooting as I observed were junipers, Chamaecyparis pisifera and Platycladus orientalis (Oriental Arborvitae). They root even without any rooting hormone.

Suggest growing in sand (no bacteria)
