A new day on our farm in the Philippines. Today we are going to build a canopy to rest and store materials. Boris prepared his equipment. The materials we will use are wood and bamboo. Our helpers are Janjan and Darry. First we laid out the tent to know the size of the canopy we will make. Boris dug a hole in the ground with his auger. The work is very easy when there is complete equipment. They bought some wood to make poles and inserted them one by one into the holes in the ground. We went to the bamboo plantations to pick some to make into materials. We also have a bamboo cutter for easy cutting. Boria and the staff carried the bamboos they cut one by one. Cutting bamboos is not easy because they have needles that will pierce the skin and they are itchy. They have started building the canopy. For the tie, they used rope and zip ties. My husband was happy while building the canopy. He likes to build houses and structures. Soon the tent was attached. It took us a few hours to build this canopy and we are happy with the result. The next day the weather was bad and our crew was absent. My husband went to the farm to shelter the materials we had accumulated in the canopy we made. Now water will not damage our materials. We are very proud of this little structure.
