I think this song is about being suppressed emotionally and getting so stressed out that one day you run away and never come back this is how i fell in my house hold and when ever i hear this i feel like running away.
The verses of this song are a 5/4 time signature, which is why it's a bit difficult to get into it. (At least until you've heard it a couple times, or are just familiar with odd time.)

Your interpretations are always almost spot on! I love that about your videos. This one, in particular tho, you’re so close to getting the true meaning, but missing one part about it: It’s about “coming out”. I always see people miss the mark on this one, but one of Chino’s kids is LGTBQ+ and this is a song for them. To shed all their skin and show their true selves. “Show your enemies what you look like” can be taken literally- homophobic people want to suppress us so this song is like a battle song; to give strength. There is an interview with Chino talking about this song. I’ll find it soon...
