'Things to Come' and 'Psi-Fi' Two remarkable synth rock albums from the mid 1970's. The music of Ken Elliot and Kieran O'Connor is imaginative, atmospheric and truly original. The quality of the song writing is excellent, I still love to play them. I now own the cd's but for many years played the vinyl originals and I wish they had recorded many more. Camera Obscura / Sombre Warrior still send shivers down the spine.
Seventh Wave is one of the best things I heard in this category. I bought "Things to come"and "Psi-Fi" on vinyl and on cd's> Now I listen very of to their music on my PC during my work, both records. The music by Ken is incredible and the voice and percussion of Kieran... What can I say... Never heard anything like this in my collection of 1200 records mostly Rock, Prog Rock and Symphonic Rock but they where for me the top
Star Palace of the Sombre Warrior (part 1) When this idea becomes perfectly clear enough, does it make you feel a little sorrier? Upon the wastelands of fear, perceive the rain of tears That flow from star palace of the sombre warrior Theater of war you moved as pieces in a game of chess as you die of a biblical myth. But the soldier who found an early grave is the cry of a child who’s lost his way and people who live from day to day they lost hope out of bitter memories
Used to have this box set of progressive music called supernatural fairytales that came out in the 90s when I was in high school. This song was on it and I loved it! Such rich sounding harmony! It really rocks too.
What were your favorite songs off of the Supernatural Fairytales box set? Mine is VDGG's "Killer", Ash Ra Tempel's "Der Vierte Kuss", Wigwam's "Prophet/Marvelry Skimmer", Genesis's "The Musical Box", Star Palace's "Star Palace of the Sombre Warrior" and Quiet Sun's "Mummy Was An Asteroid".

I was at Loughborough Uni 74-77 when these guys gigged. I was totally blown away with the sound. This is some of the best stuff I've ever heard. Always been a fan of their stuff and never tire of a listen. Sombre Warrior is amazing. Who can forget Eloi and Festival in spooky 7/4 time.

Bought this album when I was 19 and didn't even know what drugs were, ... and I still loved it! In my 50's now and enjoy 'relaxing green' - Sounds so damned amazing even now. Thank you so much, I've now just bought the CD from Amazon - hang the price. Worth every cent.
I heard this on "Radio Caroline" in the 70's. Oh so many years ago. So nice to hear it again. I found it by total chance. I loved to listen to "Radio Caroline" In the evening throughout the 1970's they would play loads of Prog Rock. I miss those times. But it was so long ago now. Guess I am just an old Dinosaur. This is undoubtedly the masterpiece of Seventh Wave, my favourite band from the 70s. Unfortunately the shimmering future of this outrageous group has been stopped by well known issues.
I tracked Ken Elliott down to a place in Camden, I think, spoke on the phone once to find out the inspiration for the lyrics. That will be my secret. Their music has been so influential on my own and I owe SW a huge debt.
Alright!Thank you for posting this. The most underrated band ever. I remember buying this when I was a kid out of the bargain bin for $1.99 at a Safeway here in California because of the "weird pic" on the cover. What a find! Progressive music with nards! This and Camera Obscura are my favorites, although I guess they're kinda' the same song anyway (connected to each other). Thanks for posting this - at least there's something on YT. I would think there's some live footage somewhere in the world.

Wow! Do you have a good recorder that can capture sounds through walls?
@ZoonieLazoon I agree. Camera Obscura & Star Palace are the best SW tunes, actually kinda' one 15 minute song.
Finally to hear this again. I had this album and have not heard this since giving it away when I joined the Navy in 1975.
