Deda Eli there were of course differences the book is a behemoth but this adaptation is still closer than the predecessor, also Richie was always joking around that's how he deals with things it's part of his character. King specifically indicates that comedy is Richie's security blanket. There's also going to be a sequel that will cover more
Deda Eli you are never gonna get the 100% full story all details from a book to a movie it they did that IT would be like the twlights series & then people would bitch & moan about how long the movies are & how they are still draggin this & that etc You can not judge a movie if it doesn't have this or that that's nit picky & just Wanna complain because YOU knew it wouldn't deliver you're expectations that is bias as hell if you can not give a honest unbias opinion on something when you know you are not why watch it or even Care to talk about it just a waste of you're time.
I'm glad they made changes from the book, because it's amazing for what it is. It wasn't as scary as I hoped for but the characters really made the movie great. I'm glad they changed the Beverly sink scene because needed to do something we haven't seen before. I liked the plot changes.
i was kinda surprised that they showed georgie's arm being chop off in that bite, people were in shock in my session, its a very psychological horror, very good movie
I didnt read the book. But i didnt think the comedy ruined the movie, it was still quite tense. The parts with georgie where it tries to make bill go insane were really strong... well at least for me, also beverly's part were also very creepy. Well in general i thought it was well made but of course more psychological horror
kiba dragneel I feel like ***spoilers*** when Bill shot Georgie at the end, I think it would've been 10x better if that actually turned out to be the real Georgie that was kept alive the whole time and Bill was wrong. It would've made the movie a LOT darker.
49Jacksonlrd everyone in my session thought it was the real georgie, but wouldnt make sense due the blood loss, but yes would be a lot darker, people showed a sign of relief when the body started to shake and change lol
Deda Eli What in particular made you find it really dumb? Honestly, what could be so awful that it ruins an amazing book for you? I personally enjoyed the movie.
Deda Eli The book is pretty damn Loser-centric. Not as much Pennywise as you may be remembering. Majority of the pages are about the losers. And for the acting, that's just kind of how kids are. I personally loved it. Just because there is a clever or funny line, doesn't mean you have to dwell on it to the extent that you see the whole thing as a comedy. Those short lines in the midst of everything terrifying is supposed to remind us that these are *kids.* Might I remind you, in the book Richie laughs while fighting IT in the sewers. He literally throws sneezing powder while running from the werewolf & so on.
This little group of young actors is amongst the best I've ever seen, their performance is truly phenomenal, miles superior to the original losers club from the 90's
I just watched this. HIGHLY recommend IT. A very disturbing and haunting film. Also nostalgic for so many reasons personally. Pennywise's 2017 take is so current and creepy AF. By far one of the best Stephen's King adaptations. Little Georgie's iconic opening scene getting has arm ripped off and dragged down the street gutter (eaten) is an absolutely terrifying and heartbreaking scene for me. I can still remember every detail of the scene. So disturbing on so many levels even into my adulthood.
I just saw it and normally I don't like scary things, for fucks sake I want to play Bioshock soooooo bad but I can't i wuss out. The movie is really good and it's not really scary as it is suspenseful. IT is easily one of if not the best movie ive seen all year.
DanThePatheticGamer Play Bioshock Infinite. No horror elements. Just a swashbuckling adventure/mindfuck. And the original games aren't really horror games, they just have a creep factor/aesthetic. Like how Tim Burton movies look creepy but aren't horror movies
The seven young kids called The Losers Club in this movie almost reminds me of the identical septuplets Kevin, Aiden, Conor, Trevor, Lucas, Daniel and Jeremy in my story titled Blood Brothers when they were all very young.
I just watched IT georgies death isnt disapointing i have never given a movie a 10 out of 10 but this movie takes the cake for best movie of the year.georgies death will make you shocked imagine a buzz saw going over your arm but many rows of them its a horror, thriller, sort of romance, comedy IT is a terrifying movie they never held back with any of the brutallity henry kills his dad with a knife in the side of the neck, and yes patrick gets eaten alive but pennywise takes him down its kinda off screen but the blood and gore is insane
The PROGAMERRIKO lmao I liked the movie but giving it a 10/10 is complete mentally retarded that I can only see an autistic person giving this movie. BTW Georgie’s death was shit. ;)
Solomon Hart I saw it too. Yep. Some movies get released in other countries earlier. For my example, I live in the philippines and this movie came out yesterday and we watched it and it was aweezome. I swear. Not the scariest but easily thousand times better than most horror movies these days
Solomon Hart Not an expert but the plot wasn't corny. I think it's nice that unlike other horror movies they hold back violence to children like they don't kill kids in other horror movues cause they're just kids. U get me right? 😂 This film didn't care about that, the film was like " Oh so you're a child? Whatever imma kill like how I kill everybody else " 😂
Don't criticize me, but i always laugh my as off when i see Pennywise running through the fucking water in the basement. He looks like he is having a seizure or someshit. Seriously, not scary at all. Just fucking hilarious.😂
I'm happy Finn is playing Richie, once again playing a kid in on a bike with his best friends chasing a monster in the 80s. But damn, I loved this movie. Goes from creepy to funny real quick in some inappropriate situations 😂
Just got done with watching it in theaters. Definitely going to be seeing it again as it was a crappy theater experience. For one, you could hear the previous showing, which started 30 minutes before ours, from the projector room and it was loud as hell. Also, the voices of the people talking in the movie was horrible quality compared to just regular sounds and music that was in the movie. This wasn't a movie problem, it was a theater problem as the trailers had the same issue as well. I've never had these problems before in this theater but it really pissed me off as I was really anticipating this movie. After all of that b.s., I still really enjoyed the movie and felt it captured the heart of the book. Will definitely be seeing it again at a better theater.
10/10 would recommend this movie, great gore effects, comedy, scares, and emotion. - If you can't handle suspense & scary images or loud abrupt sound effects *don't* see it!
I think that a reason this movie did so well was that it gave those "The Sandlot" and "Goonies" vibes: a group of boys in the 60s-late 80s who are fighting together against something. The cast was amazing and funny. Great movie.
Todoroki Shoto You didn't notice that on the big screen? I did. I think it's supposed to be what we were looking at in the first place to try and take our attention away for the jump scare. It failed for me though.
hands down one of the best movies i've seen. it made me laugh, it made me cry, it also made me scream. every character was amazing. these young actors have so much potential and i have such high expectations for them. :) everybody was incredible.
Omg this movie is so amasing and that all the cast got so close in the movie I love it so much I haven’t seen it yet but I know I’ll watch it like 5 milllion times

Oh shoot I'm watching this movie this Friday can't wait Edit - I just watched this movie and it was amazing. Not as scary as I thought it would but it's amazing.
The movie is enjoyable and worth the money, I did enjoy Annabelle creation more though. Didn't like fin's acting as much in this one, the kid that says "clown, I saw him too" stole the show- girl was pretty good too.
I know, right! I think this year is so great for horror movie fans! First Annabelle turn out to be amazing and then this. And I cannot wait to see Mother~
I guess. I was very disappointed by the ending if I'm being honest but to some extent I guess you could call it a "happy ending." Although I wouldn't consider it that.
Chrysies It does. It has a good number, but it definitely doesn't rely on them. The movie is still scary without them. Most of the time you can see them coming though so i think you'll be fine.
Keep it to yourself so you don't get your ass fined, also, only do that for movies that don't deserve the money. This movie definitely deserves your money, that is, if you're of age to watch it.
The kids were charming, the sets were great, the score was effective... but ultimately a frustrating experience. Disconnecting and isolating the characters' past experiences from the fully integrated narratives of the original story didn't turn out to be an improvement over the earlier adaption. The first half was a cavalcade of vignettes mashed together without a semblance of a driving plot. Just too many stand-alone "scare events" that didn't seem to effect many of the characters once the event was over. There wasn't really any urgency to move towards resolution. And a lazy time-lapse montage is a poor substitute for a proper progression into the third act. Except for Bill, the motivations to reform for the finale were barely there. Just... frustrating. I sincerely don't get the praise that this version is receiving. Despite some strong elements, a very flawed film.
*Just watched this movie for like 2 weeks ago* *already remember all these kids name* and , i cant remember what i just learnt at school for like an hour ago
The movie was great! And the theater I went to reallly help me enjoy the experience more because towards the end the had actual red balloons 🎈 floating around as the movie was playing
"That no longer believe in Santa Claus or the tooth fairy, but then when the lights are out are still scared of something being under the bed" me.
Tbh, most relatable quote I've ever heard
FR
My favorite movie so far this year. I enjoyed the experience the whole run time. Pennywise is sadistically funny.
49Jacksonlrd minor? Major
Have you seen the old one
Nah man richie is the funniest
It's that one scene when It dances in the sewers that makes the film absolutely amazing
Absolutely loved the film. It was terrifying.
Deda Eli the movie was way closer to the book compared to the miniseries yet the miniseries didn't "ruin the book"
Deda Eli there were of course differences the book is a behemoth but this adaptation is still closer than the predecessor, also Richie was always joking around that's how he deals with things it's part of his character. Deda Eli he comes back anyways

Just got out from the premiere over an hour ago, the hype does deliver! It's amazing, one of the best horror movies out there!
Deda Eli shut your ass up this movie is probably the best horror movie since like 2016
it feel like a horror movie but it's not it had more into it that i love it so much!
Deda Eli What in particular made you find it really dumb? Honestly, what could be so awful that it ruins an amazing book for you? I personally enjoyed the movie.

SAMEEE I LIKED OT ALOT
It was a great movie.
All due respect to Tim, but Bill played a great Pennywise!
Hats off to the Creator of the 🎥
Terrific Burger
of the movie
Bill was pennywise?!
The first movie the person who played bill killed himself
Jaeden: “You really fall in love with the characters”
Me: Well damn, you weren’t lying
I actually had a crush on bill
I love Eddie so much💖💗💋💕❤💕
This little group of young actors is amongst the best I've ever seen, their performance is truly phenomenal, miles superior to the original losers club from the 90's
Estéfano Neto yes I agree. I love this version better. 90s version was good but it just doesn’t click with me
This is my new favorite movie. Thank you, andy, barbara, and everyone else who helped make this happen!
I just watched this. HIGHLY recommend IT. A very disturbing and haunting film. Also nostalgic for so many reasons personally. Pennywise's 2017 take is so current and creepy AF. By far one of the best Stephen's King adaptations.

Go.Scott I'm 12 and watched a lot of clips, parodies and interviews of IT, I wanna watch it so you think I can handle it?
Some one tell me does Bill (Pennywise) do that Scooby-Doo voice the whole movie?
He did a pretty good job at his character at least thats what i thought
?? It didn't sound like that
It changes a bit, you hear it sometimes on certain words but not all the time.
Illicit Films no not the hole film
Illicit Films no
Ok, i love Stephen❤
of course you do! why wouldn't you?
Oooo. Yeah, there's that. At least it's not in the movie! lol
i love you
ive loved him 500 years ago...
I live in Bangor ME, where Mr. King lives, and he is a great dude. He is always donating money to our libraries, and town activities.
Just finished watching this movie and I don't watch horror movies at all. This was one of the best movies I've ever seen!!!
George Saavedra yay
I kinda want to see it but it's also a horror movie
alyssa mullan I rather watch IT then Supernatural type of horror
alyssa mullan you can always go with friends like I am doing
I just saw it and normally I don't like scary things, for fucks sake I want to play Bioshock soooooo bad but I can't i wuss out. The movie is really good and it's not really scary as it is suspenseful. IT is easily one of if not the best movie ive seen all year.

go see it is a good film on its own and is not that scary but is really intense
The jumpscare @ 2:23 scared the shit out of me
The movie was fucking awesome
The seven young kids called The Losers Club in this movie almost reminds me of the identical septuplets Kevin, Aiden, Conor, Trevor, Lucas, Daniel and Jeremy in my story titled Blood Brothers when they were all very young.

I literally just got out of the theatre after watching this WATCH IT!!! its so good
"It's an amazing story of friendship, but it's a Stephen King adaptation, so it's terrifying." dab
Best Hollywood horror film of the decade
Didn't find it scary but it is a very, very good movie
Marcjames1986 you saw it already ?
Solomon Hart I saw it too. Yep. Some movies get released in other countries earlier. For my example, I live in the philippines and this movie came out yesterday and we watched it and it was aweezome. I swear. Not the scariest but easily thousand times better than most horror movies these days

Don't criticize me, but i always laugh my as off when i see Pennywise running through the fucking water in the basement. He looks like he is having a seizure or someshit. Seriously, not scary at all. Just fucking hilarious.😂
Daniel Dubois he is pretty laughable the entire movie. The CGI makes him look like a cartoon character
Daniel Dubois lmao it's ok I started laughing when "it " dragged Georgie down the drain I felt like a piece of shit after laughing 😂
The movie was spectacular in ever way it was so scary so intense just perfect
i hate horror films never watched any of them but im so intrigued by this one .

If you can't handle suspense & scary images or loud abrupt sound effects *don't* see it!
Hell I'm watching this tomorrow
I think that a reason this movie did so well was that it gave those "The Sandlot" and "Goonies" vibes: a group of boys in the 60s-late 80s who are fighting together against something. The cast was amazing and funny. Great movie.

wakute keeble must be the scene where he sprays fire
wakute keeble wow, I saw the movie and I can confirm you that he is Patrick, but I can't really see him on the reflection xD
Todoroki Shoto You didn't notice that on the big screen? I did. I think it's supposed to be what we were looking at in the first place to try and take our attention away for the jump scare. It failed for me though.
Yo listen, I been trying to find out if Patrick gets killed by leeches in the movie? Hope it's in the second one of not
Nope.
Thank you for recreating the horror movie from the past

Guys it’s unhealthy how much I love the movie and cast
I watched this movie in theaters yesterday, and I just have to say, woah! This was way scarier than the old movie! And the new characters are much better. I love the losers (Richie and Eddie are fav 😍 #FinnSndJackForLife) and I LOVED IT! I'm 12 years old too lol
Xtra The Best It was age restricted, how?
Bon Nguyen obviously if u had a parent with you, you can get in

This movie really deliver the fear the director wants audience to feel. One of the best remake i guess
it looks pretty good
I just went to watch IT and it was such an amazing remake. Cant wait for chapter 2!!!!!
If Kevin Feige decided to make a horror movie, the result would be IT 🎈 I had so much fun watching this movie. Loved it.
Luan Penna without spoiling can you tell me if it had a happy ending or not.
Jacob 17 Yes.
Jacob 17 Keep in mind, there's a sequel, so... the REAL ending could be different.
THE FIRE RISES I'm not a Marvelfanboy. I just think all Marvel movies are fun. Not all of them are great, but they're all fun.
It would turn out to be a comedy not a horror film
What I loved about this film was the perfect balance between humour and horror one minute you felt safe and the next you where hiding your face 😂
Roses are red
Violets are blue
Don't look in the sewer
Cause Pennywise is coming for you
BroMotion Well I'm not afraid of fivehead over here so he can fuck off.
This is my favorite movie of 2017
Nice film 👍🏼Scariest movie 🎥 I've ever seen
Best Horror Film of the last decade. 🙌🏼
The movie is enjoyable and worth the money, I did enjoy Annabelle creation more though. Didn't like fin's acting as much in this one, the kid that says "clown, I saw him too" stole the show- girl was pretty good too.
Roy Gabay Eddie was amazing!
I know, right! I think this year is so great for horror movie fans! First Annabelle turn out to be amazing and then this. And I cannot wait to see Mother~
Annabelle Creation? Really? The most cliche "horror" movie I've EVER seen. It didn't even deserve the R rating it had, give me a break.
herdi taher w

Jacob 17 probably not.
Hey Jared ugh
Euphoric Onion ok I'll leave right before that 😂
Jacob 17 depends on who your rooting for. Just a Constant Reader. :)
I guess. I was very disappointed by the ending if I'm being honest but to some extent I guess you could call it a "happy ending." Although I wouldn't consider it that.
My new favorite horror movie, already on my top 3! Great movie and cast. I LIKED IT A LOT 🎈

Chrysies It does. It has a good number, but it definitely doesn't rely on them. The movie is still scary without them. Most of the time you can see them coming though so i think you'll be fine.
The scene where pennywise grabbed Beverly sent me flying to the roof 😂

This was such a great movie. 11/10. I was sad when it ended.
