I got rid of so much stuff ,the totally Tiffany was a pricey mistake for me. Got rid of the wire jig and some of those boards . I decided I wanted to keep only the things I use and love . We are so blessed Karen to have built our stash up before it got so expensive!
Hi Karen! I love “ snooping” in your closet! You always have so many ideas for storage and I have incorporated many of them into my own scrap room organization over the years! Thank you again for all the inspiration! I have missed your TH-cam posts and hope you are doing ok.
None of us Oaper crafter will live long enough to use up all pur paper! I have been going through mine and keeping what I love and purging what I fo mot. I am not buying any paper for a whike. Long while! Lol. Yours is very organized but it is so much I think it would bother me to have this much. But so neat. Love the closet. So organized
For larger crafting items, I use the Elfa drawer units from the Container store bit.ly/3wvsrij. Ikea also has a less expensive version of the drawer units called the Jonaxel bit.ly/42PQHYp. I also love using plastic bins to store larger crafting supplies. It's good if you can find a bin that fits everything you need for a craft. Michaels has the Simply Tidy Storage Bins bit.ly/3IbQG7O in different sizes that you can use to contain different crafts. Another thing that I use for storing larger crafting items are the foldable bins that are used in the cube storage systems from Target or Ikea Kallax. You can use these in the cube storage units but you can also use them in the closet. I have a bunch of these in my sewing room stored on shelves in my closet to hold things like lace, fabric, etc. Hope this helps.
If you have larger crafting supplies like baskets, vases, floral arranging supplies, home decor blanks and those types of crafty supplies? You would probably need something that would handle larger items. Bins and Baskets and Deep Storage would work best. Deep Cube Shelving like the Ikea Kallax or Target Cube Units (were you could use large Bins) or the Ikea PAX Closet system with the drawers are fantastic. I also have a lot of the Elfa basket storage systems from the Contaner Store in my house (not in my craft room but in other closets in my house) and they are awesome for all types of larger items. Hope this helps.
I love your craft room! I’m so jealous.. I have just as much stuff as you but it’s split into two bedrooms!? 🤦🏻♀️ n I hate it.. especially when I’m looking for something!? Ugh!? Your fur babies r so cute! Have crafting n b safe!
Great advice on the Billy bookcases. I have them in my cart and have been struggling with the doors. I definitely want doors on the bottom like yours and was going to do glass on the top but now I'm re-thinking that. I looked for the DVD shelf at IKEA and they no longer make it. I live in a tiny home and checked out the cabidor as well!! Great ideas, thank you for sharing!! I rewatch your main craft room tour all the time!
I stopped buying just cause things are on sale. I buy impulsively still but only when I love it not just cause it’s a good deal 😊. I have paired things down but not enough and I still belong to a couple kit clubs but it’s not like it was before when I started almost 25 years ago. Thanks for sharing
I have several carts . One in the living room that holds my planner supplies, one in the kitchen with cooking supplies and three in my scrapbook room . I love them . I got rid of all my magazines and I rarely make a card anymore. All my energy and money is now scrapbooking. Yes I have things stored in two bedrooms too😂I have never had it all in one spot and I guess that will never happen . Glad to see you making some videos . ❤
Sorry for taking so long to reply to your question, I'm a bit behind with my TH-cam channel comments. I have four 5-drawer Alex drawer units bit.ly/2wfugRh, and on top of the alex drawer units, I have a 24"x60" white table top from Amazon amzn.to/3uUdoOB, then a 2x4 Kallax storage cube unit bit.ly/2vgGAAj on it's side on top of the table top. Hope this helps.
Wow! So jelly of your huge closet!! I do have a dedicated room for crafting but it just has standard closets. A cheaper/sturdier solution for shelving would be wood planks (maybe not as attractive tho). Love your index idea for your paper pads! Need to do that! Your puppies are cute (I think they need a nail trim tho lol). TYFS ❤️🦋💜
Thanks Cindy! I've actually tried wood shelving in the past and the shelves bowed from the weight of the paper. It's amazing how much they warping and bowing happens when you have something heavy on the shelves ... like scrapbooking paper !!!
Sorry I missed your question and I'm so late with answering. I just found out that I could filter all of the youtube comments and just see the comments with questions. The Akro bins are about 16 1/2" wide, 18" deep, and 11" tall. Hope this helps answer your question. 😁
@YesPleasePapercrafts thanks so much karen. I still need to check these out. I can't believe I'm still working on my paper. Life kinda got in the way. Hope you are doing okay. I've had you in my prayers 🙏 ❤️
Love your closet! WE are building a large barn with a He shed for hubby and she shed for my hobbies. I have a walk in closet on my plan can I ask you what size ur closet is and what is the with of the space in between your shelving?
Thanks Jolene 😊 the closet is 5 1/2' wide by 13' long. The shelving is 12" wire shelving on one side and 10" wood shelving on the other side. The spacing between the shelves vary depending on what I have stored on the shelves. The closet system is adjustable and the space between each shelf is different depending on what is stored on that shelf. Hope this answers your questions.
Hi Jolene ... I was just looking at my TH-cam Studio app and realized that there was a new filter for questions and found that I missed your question. My Craft Room closet is 5 1/2' wide by 13" long. I wished that I could have made the closet 6 1/2' and it would have given a little more room to move around in there, but even with the 5 1/2', it works ok. The shelves on the left side are 12" but the kallax unit is 15" and then on the other side the laminate shelves are I think either 8 or 10" but the Michael's cubes are 14" so the shelving Kallax and cubes stick out on both sides abour 14-15". The baseboard and shoe moulding make the Kallax/Cubes stick out further about another 3 inches or so. So, I would say the space in the middle is about 34". I hope that I answered your question and it helps with your She Shed (even though I'm answering your question really late). 😒
wow! My husband gets angry about how much I have but this closet has an absurd amount of “stuff”. You don’t have to buy anything for goodness knows how long. You keep chucking but it’s not so funny.
Precious babies!!! 🫶🏼🫶🏼🐾🐾🐶🐶🐾🐾❤️❤️

I really admire how neat, sorted, and attractive your supplies are with having so much! And so nice to see your two babies again!

Beautifully organized! It’s good to see you making videos.
Thank you! 😊
Any ideas on how to organize a storage unit for gift baskets and craft supplsupplies? Love your channel.

Love how you used your space so wisely!

Thanks for sharing. I love your craftroom. Can you give me the link or a size on the Akro bins? I couldn't find on Amazon.

lol ... I'm very happy with the amount of crafty stuff I've acquired during my 63 years. Lucikly I don't have a husband to complain 😁
