David! I am happy to hear you love the lightweight and two-stage cutting angles on the Subcompact Utility Knife, but we were surprised and saddened to hear about your experience! It does sound like you picked up a knife with a one-off flaw (this has not been a problem endemic to our knives and is certainly not a "known manufacturing flaw"- we would never accept that) and while we are glad to see you found a fully functioning replacement in the store, I want to assure that your concerns and needs are heard and honored. We are emailing you to introduce ourselves and make this right.
I love my tough built knife…. But i can’t get blade to lock in!!! It’s driving me nuts. I like light weight, it’s lighter than my Milwaukee razor knife! I really wish there was a fix
That is some crap! If they are going to continue to sell it Even knowing that there is a defect, they should allow you to return it. I would try again with a different person
I agree, its crap. I think its more of a problem with that specific Lowes store, than their policies. I've had problems in that store before, just trying to buy a roll of wire by the foot. I find that it's interesting that Mooresville, is where Lowes corporate headquarters is based as well. Toughbuilt on the other hand has a Limited Lifetime Warranty, that's separate from Lowes policies. I expect Toughbuilt to contact me, I doubt Lowes will. Either way, if either of them do contact me, I will update the description of this video, and/or make a community post about it as well. And the knife is only $10, so its not really a loss, more of an inconvenience and aggravation with Lowes.

I have same knife and same problem
@@philbonn7765 same. Absolutely bs calling it an unknown manufacturing flaw
My blade will also not come out.
Bought one today and first thing I noticed was blade wouldn’t come out. I see why it was on sale . Has to be a known flaw there’s no way it isn’t .
Luv mine" I have 2. One for work and one for EDC.
I'm glad yours works for you.
Easy in/out in mine. No issue.
Just purchased one same problem

Exchange it yourself
@@philbonn7765 I prefer to stay law abiding. Lowes unfortunately is the only close-ish home improvement store near by. Home Depot is 4 hours away.
Contact toughbuilt they'll send you a new one no questions and no need to return it
