This is the official dazai description of the fanfic, in case it can help u >vO In my mind he looks pretty similar to the way he did while he was in the ADA with a few more influence from natsume: his coat is a little lighter in colour, his shirt is white, his pants grey. hes got the cane (still dirty), obv, and the bottom of his pants/his coat is stained with mud and dust and he looks sickly and pale and a little like a bus ran him over. i havent really put MUCH effort into his design in this fic--so im sure whatever you might come up with is going to be great!

But I think it’s a cool concept. That’s why I’ll just settle for this reaction video for now XD unless someone can convince me lol, if it’s time travel fic, my most favorite so far is transcendental (that one fanfic of Dazai was dead in his universe after Chuuya shot him at DOA arc and Chuuya was somehow got dragged accidentally to the time/universe when they were still 16(?) and Chuuya tried to fix everything and his main enemy was gonna be Fyodor). If it’s like that, I think I would like it and still read it.
Its like, Fyodor wins and everyones doomed, dazai reawakens in a universe that he never existed at all and, now hes kinda dealing with the fact he never existed. (Also, taking in and abandoning orphans whenever he can 🥲)
basically dazai was brought into an alternative timeline where he doesnt exist. or more like time travel. chuuyas still in the pm but as you notice, dazai changed some things.
