This is so accurate. Narcissistic ex. Broke up over 10 months ago. When you talked about one foot in , one foot out and unsure of being fulfilled. That’s me in regards to adopting a dog. I lost the love of my life a year ago. We had a special bond. I love dogs & want another but I feel it may be like dishonoring my first dog 😢
