Ps5 and Xbox should already be around $350 it has been 3 years and half crazy that there still $500 inflation bullcrap like all major corporations making shit up
The 20 million they sold was more than any year of the PS4. The best year of PS4 was 19 million. Launch aligned PS5 is only 1 million behind PS4 with no price drops. I'd say PS5 is doing ok.
PS5 sales were still pretty spectacular, it’s just that Sony’s forecast was too ambitious. It’s not every year PlayStation hardware tops 20 million sold. They’ve forecasted 18 million for this fiscal year, which is also pretty strong for a console entering its mid life. The PS5 Pro should add a renewed excitement to the platform.
What Mat is saying is inline with my personal situation and I’d assume my fellow countrymen. Aus/Nz we have a living crisis here. Food and housing mainly. I Skipped paying a bill just to buy FF7 rebirth. $90-120 a game on top of a 750 mortgage/rent and then there’s food and life. People are living of cards and going into debt to stay float.
Shane, GTX1080 is not a "crappy PC" by today's standards, not yet. It's not that far from RTX3060 (that you wanted to change it for) in terms of raw power.
Shane, for NAME THAT GAME you gotta use more obscure games in the future, exactly like BioMutant - that was a good pick. You chose more mainstream ones before.
Ultimate team is rarely talked about, what a juggernaut those are, EA Football has it, Madden has it, F1 has it, WWE 2K has it, NBA 2K has it, it's just free money. I hate them all as it causes those series to get f all new added because the devs only care about getting that card game addicting. It's a shame. Oh want new jerseys or liveries? Want new wrestlers? Give us €100 for these special cards. 😑 People pump millions into these 5 games I listed so you wonder why other devs even bother sometimes. It's a shame.
Is it that people don’t have money or that the PS4 is still completely viable as a console for most people? Or that PC gaming is as stronger as ever? Or that lots of people game on their phones or Switch? The situation may be harder in the US, but come on, justifying with just “capitalism.” is really shortsighted and shallow.
matt is wrong. i remember spiderman 2 PS5 slim bundle being only $500. and i'm sure sony had other ps4/PS5 bundles with a game that pretty much gave you the game free. Nintendo still charges full price for the game+console bundles.

Matt throwing 105 fastballs all episode, he’s on fire and 100% about the industry and economy. Legend
I always used to wait for when a system went down in price by at least 100 bucks before I'd buy it.

There is also a housing crisis here, and as bad as it is in most capital cities it's become truly insane in Brisbane.
22:50 right on Matt!

they revised the forecast for the projection to 21 million and they hit 20.8 million lol

Matt is very right, discretionary spending is very bleak atm
Great episode guys 👏

"Price drops are a thing of the past", - Huang. He seems to be right, unfortunately.
I saw the fall guy and it was good but I think people are leaving theaters and due to COVID rather stream at home.
I like name that game and name that game tune equally, both are good fun!
Waiting for GTA6 to consider buying a console too
Love the show
No one played the game in name that game tune. Thats why it took so long. 😂
