Fully agree with your views. The song was apt for the situation and was composed and sung well by SJ and Rafisaab respectively. It has become a fashion for some Johnny come lately channels to pick up irrelevant matter from here and there , spice it up and serve the lies often with the agenda of denigrating Rafisaab and glorifying Kishoreda. One such mean music channel which prides itself on being a Kishore fan site, just a few weeks back ran an episode where they projected Kishoreda as a better singer as he could sing in 20 minutes flat a song, rehearsed without getting right, for weeks by Rafisaab who the frustrated makers then decided to replace with Kishoreda. The song was " Khiza Ke Phool Se ". from Do Raaste. This song as everybody knows was clearly a late entry in the film meant to capitalise on Rajesh-Kishore then newly gained popularity and was never meant for Rafisaab. That it was picturized after the film was shot is clear from the fact it is the only song where Rajesh Khanna does not have a beard or rather the Ittefaq look. But who will bring sense to these blind and deaf "vidhwans"
