Sounds similar to some of the works of artists like Hybrid, Thom Yorke, Clark, and even youtube's Mr Bill. Koan is definitely one of the greats, especially in a way of helping to bridge dubstep/chillstep to modern UK garage on the rhythmic side of things, but he's not alone in the wierd electronic department haha
it's not a new genre, it's called neuro-hop (with orchestral music), style is unique, yes, but that's not a genre (it's like saying that dariacore is a genre and not a style of hyperpop complextro) For examples, tracks with similar sound but their own styles: Joe Ford - Moving On | AKOV, Screamarts - Refuge | Arknights - Guiding Ahead Lobby Theme P.S. i know there's not only a neuro-hop in their tracks, but it's their main genre

This album is a fucking MASTERPIECE. I love you guys so much. There's just nothing else out there (electronic/organic/downtempo/bass/fucking orchestral/fucking whatever the fuck you wanna call KOAN Sound) that does it for me. So god damn underrated it is un real. Been listening to the new album in my car like non stop. THANK YOU!

After watching arcane season 2, at the moment where we see Jayce in an alternate universe in cave, for some reason i remembered this track, maybe it's all about these string plucking sounds (because there was a similar soundtrack in these scenes). But overall the vibe is similar to some scenes in the show. I think Koans would definitely cope with the work on the soundtrack and design for such big shows
