This is probably the only microbrand watch of recent times that has really tempted me. I usually hate numerals on a dial but it just works on this. Big fan of art deco and this (especially the white and silver) is spot on. So refreshing to see a different style too.

Fantastic! This gave me real jolt - it is the spitting image of my dad's Ingersoll Triumph. He was a navigator in Bomber Command and this was the go-to watch for air crew in the fifties. I still have his, it continued to work years after he died. I am seriously tempted to get this gorgeous 'Stars in Their Eyes' version - "Tonight Matthew I'm going to be an Ingersoll Triumph!"

Love the Vario Empire. It made my #4 slot on my top 10 of last year. I can also say without a doubt that the silver and white dial handsets are much more legible. Simply stunning blue set of hands brilliantly stands out amongst the silver-white background.

I cant believe that men are feeling that sub 40mm diameter watches are too small to wear. I used to have one day to day watch with a 42mm diameter. When I started getting into inexpensive vintage watches, I was picking up time pieces with 34-38mm diameter. When I wear my old watch now it feels like wearing a dinner plate. 36mm is my sweet spot. I would love to see more reviews of watches of that size.

It looks a bit heavy compared to the rest of the handset and would have tied the whole thing together a bit more completely. Thanks for another great review.
Beautiful watch, even better in person. The white face looks a bit more cream white on the wrist. The video here makes it look pure white.
Also note: the band is high quality but is to scale for its mid size case. I have a 7 1/4" wrist which fits but is close to the limit. A larger wrist would be better fit by a slightly longer band (which I did). Shame too as the one that comes with it looks perfect on it.

Vario has really got my attention. I have a couple of their Harris wool straps, and my first watch from them should arrive Friday. I bought the new Popeye jump hour.

I reckon a set of cathedral hands could improve legibility while keeping the art deco style. 🤔

I just ordered the manual Empire with Silver dial via PayPal... but I forgot to put in the discount code. Emailed Vario with my Order No. in hopes they will honor the discount. WOW!, what a gorgeous watch! Can't wait to have it on my wrist. Thank You Vario!

No I have no more room I only have two wristsAnd I can only wear a watch on one of them at a time without looking weird I have too many already but I like it if aliens were to come and steal all my watches I would get this one for sure FYI I think the color combination is the only color combination if you truly want An art deco look it Immediately takes my mind to that era

Hey Jody! I guess I'm late to commenting here, but something you said stood out to me: there are other options at this price point to consider? I gave up on my sarb035--didn't quite do it for me--and have been looking for a replacement. But not sure what else is at 38mm with sapphire. The Vario seems to be the only other dress alternative, and now that the sarbs are going up, the only alternative. What 38mm would you suggest instead of the Vario?

That is tempting. Have you ever seen the KAREBO celebrity? On AliExpress. I think it looks really nice. Especially in Gray. It's also a bit much for a Chinese Special. So I don't dare take the risk without any reviews.
