Hi Della, You CAN actually nurse an adoptive baby. It comes from the pituitary gland. You wear an sns kit with tiny tubes that tape onto your breasts . You fill it with formula or donated milk and your body helps make a little bit on its own. I did this with 2 of my adopted children. Enjoy!!!

It’s feeding a baby while they’re sleepy (literally take them out of the bassinet and start to feed them) right before you go to bed, to have their tummy be full for the duration of your sleep, so you’re hopefully not waking up during the night with them, and therefore are well-rested. It works for some, not for others. But worth a try to see if it works in a routine to help with sleep!

Just a thought, if she's going 8pm until 3am thats 7 hours. Half wake her at around 10.30pm for a "twilight feed", she might go 7 hours through the night. Good luck ❤
i actually put my baby to bed at 10.30 hoping for a wake up call at 6am … works pretty good , he does wake up once or twice just for a little hug but no bottle

Just came to comment to say that a woman can actually induce lactation without having ever been pregnant/given birth. Lactation naturally is induced when a placenta is released from the body but can be induced without this occurrence. Definitely talk to a lactation consultant about it but I believe you can pump consistently (around every 2-3 hours every day) for 2 weeks and you will have milk come in. Many women have done this and induced lactation to feed babies they have adopted. You can also do this after you have stopped breastfeeding and you’d like to start again. (I did this for my first) it takes a lot of dedication but it is very rewarding. Love your content and I’m very happy for you and your sweet baby girl ❤
I love that you discovered donated breast milk! My daughter was adopted, she’s now 14, but she got donated breast milk for 2 years, I also induced lactation but it wasn’t enough to sustain her. It really is a game changer when it comes to their digestion and immune system. Story is the perfect baby for you, just like my little Hallie Rose is the perfect for me. Dream babies! Hey I don’t really know if u see this but in cultural medicine many people have benefited and I really hope you give it a try bring a spoon full of cloves and add 500ml of water close the jar and put it on a place where sun can’t reach it , leave it for a week then after that u will add a sip of lemon and drink it with lil cup before breakfast it worked out well for lots of people so l reallyyyyyyyyyy wish u can give it a shot 0:19

Story is so precious! 💗 I’m glad she sleeps so well for you but don’t be worried if she has sleep regression at 3 months and is fussy. It’s very normal. They usually have a growth spurt around that time. ☺️ I like that you show the realistic part if things and not try to make it look perfect. 😊
This is the longest, most exhausting time in babyhood. After awhile she will sleep all through the night. Once her little tummy expands to fill up on her needed supply of milk for the night, you will all sleep through the night! After about 6 months, she should feel comfortable sleeping in her own room, with a baby monitor so you can hear her. Stay Blessed you 3! You are doing great!

You can also take special pills to induce breast milk
