Great list. Difficult choices ! Leo DiCaprio for "What's Eating Gilbert Grape" could have been on this list, but Ralph Fiennes was indeed exceptionnal as well in TSL !
Always a fun topic. I wonder which of these "silver" performances you would have actually picked over the supporting performance that won that year. As far as my own list go, from 1936-2023, 58 of the performances I thought were the best support male performances of the year did not win the Oscar (in a few cases they weren't even nominated).
I agree with Gene Wilder in The Producers, Burt Reynolds in Boogie Nights and Ryan Gosling in Barbie, I would have added Tom Cruise for Magnolia and I think Martin Landau deserved his award for Ed Wood he was the film, despite the title!
@@BorjasVault Yeah I realized that after I commented, I was thrown off by the supporting Actress video that had Estelle Parsons winning in 1967 which she did!
Terrific choices. I would never argue with Hackman getting more recognition. But how do you choose between Greenstreet & Lorre? I would have given them a tie.
Can't be mad at that choice at all. That last shot is truly Kenough!
3 Gerwig performances in the Supporting categories, amazing. And also Barbenheimer in said Supporting categories. 😊
Great choice!!! Ryan Gosling was trully magnificent as Ken. ❤❤
Yesss I was about to comment about that too, great to see Ryan Gosling here
The way Claude Rains was Silver 3 times in 8 years...what a magnificent actor.
I would have watched Deniro as the new year addition but I can't be mad about Gosling either!
Again, I love it when you post these please don’t ever stop doing them
I enjoy your videos! Have you thought about doing a silver oscar for Best Director?
Yes!!! Been waiting for this! Thank you for your continued hard work!
You posted this on Sunday????? How am I just now seeing this?????
Thankyou so much l always get tingles when l.watch you video clips
Hermoso trabajo de edición 🤌chef's kiss
Jack Palance owned supporting actors.
Great performances! In many cases the rightful winners( Douriff, Segal, Hurt, Jackson, etc...)

omg Gosling! I wasn't expecting that
Very cool the combination of music, pictures and editing at the end ❤
These videos are great and should have more likes/views.
So many brilliant performances and films❤
My only addition would be that I would prefer Greg Kinnear in As Good as it Gets in 1998. I thought that was such a beautiful performance.
@@Rb1330 he is my Bronze
Great selection, as always! Of these, I've seen 39/88.
I guess Claude Rains was the invisible man.

@@MADWORLD1427 there are no winners in this video… It's a hypothetical second place Award.
@@BorjasVault Yeah I realized that after I commented, I was thrown off by the supporting Actress video that had Estelle Parsons winning in 1967 which she did!
Gosling, my second choice too
Haven’t even finished yet…well done tho!…silver best picture?
Ken!!!!
Ame el final!
Now silver leading actress Lily Glastone Killers of The Flower Moon
silver leading actor Paul Giamatti The Holdovers
Terrific choices. I would never argue with Hackman getting more recognition. But how do you choose between Greenstreet & Lorre? I would have given them a tie.
Lorre wasn’t nominated.
@@angelcastaneda529Alas. He should have been.
Paul Raci was great
One of my favourite performances of recent years - pure authenticity.
If Charles Melton had been rightfully nominated (and even deserved to win in my opinion, he should have been atleast deserved silver…
YAAAAS
A majority of your second choice pics are my first choices.
Mine too, but there are no winners in this video…
Soon I will make a video with my winners
Mark Ruffalo for Poor Things is my bronze
Pat Morita, River Phoenix...
Gosling stole the show
Burt Reynolds for sure,Oscar's always get it wrong😢
1977, 1984, 1994, 1998, should've won
Tis video just makes me sad that old movies I'm talking pre 2000 were the best and everything now is bleak
Gosling…..🙃🙃🙃
That’s a choice
