    Thank you! Gorgeous! I actually thought that pebeo prisme had to be encased so this was actually very helpful. I'm definitely trying some of that paint when I get a chance. Your color selection is just up my alley. Really enjoyed this video.

    Love the center color. I looked up the link you provided and noticed that it was oil based. Does that matter when you are doing mandala art? Since most is done with acrylic paint. Are your other paints on this stone oil based or acrylic water based? Love your rock!

    • @KellyTheresa
      @KellyTheresa  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Doreen! The centre is an oil based dot however all other paint is acrylic, the oil takes a bit longer to dry but because no dot is going on top it didn't matter much in carrying on with the rest of the stone while it dries 😁

      Thank you so much Jan! 😁 💕 🙏 This is their original mold the first one they created I'm not sure what the name of the shape is but I'm sure if you contacted them and asked which one is the original stone mold they created they would be able to tell you the name of it 😁 I'm guessing it's Mold #1 but I would definitely ask them just in case haha

    One final question: were all the paints you used from the oil-based Pebeo brand?

    • @KellyTheresa
      @KellyTheresa  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just the large center dot 😁 then I picked acrylic paints (both in normal and metallic) that I thought would match the center dot 😁

    • @KellyTheresa
      @KellyTheresa  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Aww thank you so much! 😁💕 So for this one I used FolkArt in Teal and Aqua on top of that, and then for the other colors of the spiral DecoArt in Night sky and coastal blue on top and then the tiny dots are FolkArt metallic in Blue Sapphire 😁

    How did you get the paint so glossy? Did you add pouring medium?

    • @KellyTheresa
      @KellyTheresa  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! The paint in the middle is an oil based paint that is naturally glossy and if I am looking for a shiny/glossy paint without having to use a resin etc then I use DecoArt Satin acrylic paint. I do use pouring medium sometimes but not specifically for a shiny finish 😊

    • @debbie-suefelton1021
      @debbie-suefelton1021 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I ordered the oil-based paint. How will I clean the brushes?

    • @KellyTheresa
      @KellyTheresa  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Debbie-Sue, that's great! I hope you like them! I used my dotting tools for the paints so I do not have experience with cleaning brushes, with my tools I just wiped off with a paper towel and then used an alcohol wipe to get off the leftover residue. I believe there is a product by Peobo that is a brush cleaner and I have heard of a hot vinegar method but not sure of the process. Sorry I can't be of more help!

      @debbie-suefelton1021 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @KellyTheresa
      @KellyTheresa  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I will keep that in mind for future tutorials! And I often say that using your own color choices or even ones that are close but perhaps not exact, creates your own unique piece of artwork that is different from anyone else, so that is wonderful! I hope you are enjoying the dot painting experience! 😁
