Hello Ian, Will you be able share a video how to file a tax return for Canadian Senior Citizens who are living outside Canada. I Already downloaded T1 form and have my NR4's showing gross income. My CPP and OAS earnings are exempt from tax (international treaty between Canada and Turkey )but I have to file every 5 years. I am not sure about federal tax? do I enter the amounts on lines 3000 and 30100 ? I am over 65 yrs. Thank you
I have unused tuition and education credits which I have carried forward. this is the first year I can claim them since I have enough income. how do I apply these credits? or does the Cra atomically apply these credits to my return?
You would apply those credits by filling out and filing Schedule 11 with your tax return. The CRA normally does apply the credits if you forget, but it's always a good idea to claim them on original filing.
Thank You for the response. I Have both Federal and Provincial credits. Is schedule 11 for both Provincial and Federal tax credits? Thank You again. Great content.
Do you have any videos for how to divide credits between spouses to maximize savings. e.g. medical or Child care benefits?
