I feel like this lot is so fitting for Strangerville... You have a trailer with a cloning machine on the roof, a robotics workstation in the shed out back, a freaking rocket ship, a ufo plant in your garden, and a cemetery that literally popped up in your front yard overnight. I’m positive that you are the new mystery people are trying to solve...
At this point this entire let’s play should be labeled. Rags to Enrichment, Enrichment to Repayment, Repayment to Resurrection, Resurrection to Riches. 😂
You know what’s the best part of this Let’s Play? Even though it’s so far removed from its original intent everything James does makes absolute sense. The funniest thing I’ve ever seen was when Bob and Trash had that party and all their guests die.🤣 But the fact that they would be so remorseful that Bob would quit his job to find a way to bring all these people back to life, absolutely makes sense. I could absolutely see them blaming themselves for these people deaths. And Trash going into space to find all the stuff that she needs for Ambrosia. It’s a good story arc. I’m hooked. 🙃🥰

Your plants are not dead, they will grow. For some reason when they are sheltered they look like they are dead, but they are not. My sheltered plants look like that.
They look like that because it's fall. Doesn't matter what kind of plant is there, even Evergreen trees, they will turn brown and orange during fall. It's the only thing I hate about that season in Sims.
i searched that myself and it seems it WAS true at one point (like a few years ago) and EA "fixed" it and now you only get a plaque... so ... blame EA... lol
Get both Bob and Trash romantically involved with some of the ghosts. That would up the stakes for them to complete this quest! I was rooting for Bob+Elsa, so they finding each other, while she's on the other side, would be poetic.
Since you don't have comments from previous episodes: A list of stuff you want to do/remember: 1. You need a Potion of Youth for every Ambrosia (just got to the part where you figured it out :D ) 2. Take down your decorations. Please. :D (you just did that, great :D ) 3. You DO have a hamper. In the shed. FULL OF CLOOOOOTHES!!! 4. The laundry showed filthy and dry, you just have to hold your mouse over the "unload laundry" or whatever option, not just on the laundry 5. No need for the fence in the shed anymore, you fenced the whole lot anyway+no more repo man! 6. You can get the Orchid at the Romance festival, OR get a Patchy, OR get your Gardening to lvl 10 and get the rare seeds packet (goes for Death Flower too) 7. Maybe set up sprinklers, it might solve the "not being able to water the plants" problem 8. If you get tired of creating Ambrosias, you can always get a Wishing Well, just get them ghosts in your household and wish for life (but I remember it didn't really work, but... You can try) Feel free to add more suggestions and thumbs up so James can see this

When your sims social is low, you can just make them call another sim 3-5 times (depending on how low it is), it makes social go up super fast. In my experience, it goes up faster than actually talking to a mother sim in person.
I love that you're doing this the complicated way. So much more interesting. And you are revisiting things like the cuttings killing plants, and the sim grafting your entire stack of shoots at once. Heh, it's fun to watch it be a challenge.

Did James just invent a new sims challenge? Because resurrecting this many sims takes quite a lot of effort. Or is it already a thing because I haven't seen anybody doing it yet. #resurractionchallenge where you've got 10 dead sims preferable from different species and you have to bring them back to life. I think that would be awesome to see how many different ways there to do this. The bonus could be, that you have to first kill them, preferably in a very efficient way.
I had once a party at winterfest and the idiots didn't come in and two of my Sims died, so that's one idea 😅 or you know you can go classic and kill a bunch of people in fire or in the swimming pool
Is there even ten different species of sim? There's aliens, vampires, mermaids, spellcasters, a regular sim and a plant sim and maybe a robot if you can bring those back... Am I missing a species? Breakthroughs are limited by career level. The cloning machine is unlocked at one of the higher levels of the scientist career. It usually takes my Sims about 2 weeks to get promoted to that level. Get the aspiration reward that helps you get promoted. ETA: although that's with just sending them to work alone, playing the career actively might get you promoted faster
actually more like James forgotten he can buy orchids and still tries to graft them anyways. I swear the minute he finishes a series all the knowledge gets flushed down the toilet. :))

Been rewatching the bigwallets :) recently had a death fiasco in my own game. My famous spellcaster had the Stan quirk and one winter all her stans kept killing themselves in the pool xD. Reviving them was as easy as snapping her fingers xD

Ahh, watching James make all the same mistakes gardening as he did in the Seasons LP. That's the quality content I'm here for. Waiting for him to remember he spliced half of Sebastian's garden then got the orchids from Patchy in the end.
FYI... Gardening is awesome with magic skills. You can take a cutting twice from the same plant and yes, it dies! However, you can herbio or floriate or whatever. Now, it is back alive and EVEN BETTER!!! It is like the Gift of Sulani because it levels your plant up! Congratulations! Killing something just made it AWESOME!

I would love to see what the skill gains are like if a Sim also has all the childhood aspiration benefits (including the toddler one) as well as the super scout. I think it would be ridiculous.
I had this video running in the background while doing other things, went back to this window, and found Bob at work as a scientist. I literally said aloud "wait, what? Wasn't he just a teacher?" LOL. (I realize now what is going on, of course.)
From what I've seen, you don't get reduced bills if you aren't on lot when the bills come due, because you don't have the tiny home buff. Same thing happens if you have the reduced bills perk and are off lot when your bills come.
Perfect timing, I was just looking for what to watch while doing the dishes. I love it when we get to see Sims from other LPs, I get the same feeling as when you watch a TV show and they do a guest appearance of a character/celebrity from other series - only missing the audience clapping enthusiastically.
Every monday or tuesday (game day) there are harvestables at the romance festival. This is where I got my lilly and other free plants. Also if you have a magician there is a practical magic spell where you can clone things.
I think for your 'final' house for this series, you should just make a really nice duplex so they each have their own place. Or maybe a small luxury apartment building that can also house a roommate(s) as a tenants since it's a new feature

Been rewatching the bigwallets :) recently had a death fiasco in my own game. My famous spellcaster had the Stan quirk and one winter all her stans kept killing themselves in the pool xD. Reviving them was as easy as snapping her fingers xD

Ahh, watching James make all the same mistakes gardening as he did in the Seasons LP. That's the quality content I'm here for. Waiting for him to remember he spliced half of Sebastian's garden then got the orchids from Patchy in the end.

Gardening is awesome with magic skills. You can take a cutting twice from the same plant and yes, it dies!
However, you can herbio or floriate or whatever. Now, it is back alive and EVEN BETTER!!!
It is like the Gift of Sulani because it levels your plant up!

From what I've seen, you don't get reduced bills if you aren't on lot when the bills come due, because you don't have the tiny home buff. Same thing happens if you have the reduced bills perk and are off lot when your bills come.

I love it when we get to see Sims from other LPs, I get the same feeling as when you watch a TV show and they do a guest appearance of a character/celebrity from other series - only missing the audience clapping enthusiastically.

Every monday or tuesday (game day) there are harvestables at the romance festival. This is where I got my lilly and other free plants. Also if you have a magician there is a practical magic spell where you can clone things.
I think for your 'final' house for this series, you should just make a really nice duplex so they each have their own place. Or maybe a small luxury apartment building that can also house a roommate(s) as a tenants since it's a new feature

It's always amusing watching him attempt things you play with all the time in game. Just sitting back and thinking "nope, that won't work" at half the things he tries, and waiting for him to realise the inevitable himself.

I like how the TV wakes Bob up, but somehow a rocket launching into space from his backyard doesn't. Super realistic.
