As an American, it it a great thing to have so many choices in life. With a USMC veteran in the house and many family whom have served to keep our freedom, we don’t take it for granted- Especially when so many are suffering in the world. Gambling is not for everyone. If you have a friend or family member you believe needs help, (like many other addictions), there are programs available for them if they are ready for the help. On a personal note, we never gamble - actually expecting to get rich. We Never gamble with money we can’t afford to lose. For us, it’s no different than having a vacation fund, club membership, or simply going to dinner and a movie. It’s entertainment that we enjoy. Casinos are a lifestyle. If you enjoy nice restaurants, shopping, golf, lazy rivers, spas and live entertainment, then you may like a casino resort. Many people enjoy the resorts but do not gamble. Many don’t even drink. IF or when we win, it’s a bonus. Mostly, it’s a date with my husband going on 22 years. We work a great deal. So, for us, it’s a lifestyle and relaxing entertainment for our family. All said, I agree. For some folks, it may be an addiction that can be impacting to a person and their life- just like any other addiction. I believe Too much of anything is not good for you. Gambling, greed, beer, wine, chocolate, exercise, boating, golf, fishing, unsociable behavior, or being too sociable… the list goes on and on. Without balance, too much of anything is not good for you. Bottom line, gambling is not for everyone. Wishing you well, Thanks! Stay safe!!
