I wasn't able to make it this year due to unforeseen events. The video helped to see what I missed out on and even with the weather I wished I'd made it. 😁 Thanks to you both for sharing and see you at Antennapalooza 2024!
I enjoyed the presentations and the chats but watching the vehicle extraction Sunday afternoon was one of the highlights. Hopefully next year will be drier. VK3TTT
Despite buying the WIA Foundation Manual*, consistently passing the online trial outline foundation assessment, and knowing the joke about the two antennas that got married, I've never gotten my license. Incidentally, I literally took a big bite of a burrito right as 9:13 came, and I felt like you were judging me :P (* Although, I haven't read it yet)
@@DropTableAdventures just to clarify, I've never even sat the test :P It was something I was considering but never did. Looking at the WIA website today made me remember why I didn't go for a license when I bought the book 10 years ago - foundation licenses couldn't DIY.
Yeah, the DIY limitation was what put me off for a while - in the end I ended up studying up and going straight to Advanced. But that and no data is not a limitation any more...
I'm glad I was able to make it over there for this event. Sorry I cant do it every year. Bob Vk6POP

Hope so as well, and hope to see you there next year!
I was really hoping to see the 10m yagi in the end. Hopefully I make it next year
Yeah, I'm disappointed I didn't get it finished, the weather was a real pain...

@3:23 I can see the numbers floating around their head.... Wait What???
Yeah! For 2m / VHF a tape measure yagi is a bit unwieldy, and this one's for HF!?
I'll finish it someday...
