It was a surprising well foreshadowed scene. Every time the girl catching messed up a dance throughout the movie she had to do push ups. She’s been building up the strength the entire time.
This part made me so emotional I had to cry because lil Dicky was willing to suffer just to practice the lift, hid it so the father wouldn’t stop him from dancing. Passion, right there... what a beautiful scene! I totally love it when the girl carried out the lift instead. Totally didn’t see that coming!
