crystallized ruined her. I want write whole essay to prove how bad crystallized ruined her Harumi's return in itself would be tolerable if Crystallized continued her arc in seasons 8-9. Harumi's death itself not only became a tragedy for her, but also forced her to reconsider her views on her seemingly good mission to protect Ninjago. Back in the first season, when she was too little, she loved the Ninja and thought that these superheroes would protect her and her parents. The innocent child's mind soon faced a turning point in her life. The Great Devourer killed her parents and she was left an orphan. All her hopes, all her faith in the Ninja as superheroes who protect all of Ninjago, were shattered and destroyed, and with this she learned about a new savior, about the one who managed to stop the Devourer, and it was Garmadon. Any mature person in her place would have understood the whole situation, would have understood that the Ninja are not omnipresent and are not able to protect everyone at once, but her still immature, innocent and unformed child’s mind was unable to do this. It was a childhood trauma, a turning point in her life that radically changed the girl’s psyche. Harumi’s state is perfectly described by the three Oni Masks, and this state of the child is perfectly described by the mask of Hatred, which is where it all started. After being taken in by the Imperial Family, she began using her parents' resources and influence to create her own syndicate and search for powerful ancient artifacts. Garmadon became her object of study, since she believed that it was he who was the strong support and salvation of Ninjago from all possible threats, that it was he who would stop every danger and disaster without the risk of death of at least one innocent soul, and therefore she began to study the essence of Oni and Dragons. Having made a plan, she set about finding the Masks and recruiting the Ninja. After killing her adoptive parents, she began to become close to the Ninja and in particular Lloyd, whom she hated the most. This state of Harumi is perfectly described by the Mask of Deception. After revealing her true colors, she began her revenge on Lloyd and the revival of Garmadon as the trusted protector of all of Ninjago. This state is perfectly described by the Mask of Vengeance. In general, season 8 itself begins not with something else, but with masks, symbolizing that the heroes will have to figure out who is who. All this time they tried to remove the mask from the Silent One and see his true face, and when all the masks were removed, season 9 began with the masks broken and lying on the floor. This is just a brilliant detail from the writers
After Garmadon's victory, Harumi, still blinded by her mission to protect Ninjago, tries to stop Garmadon from destroying the entire city and find Lloyd through more or less humane means, trying not to kill civilians, since she has no claims against them. On the contrary, she is trying to protect them all, so that no one dies like her parents, and so that no one remains orphaned like herself. However, after the death of Mr. E, she began to doubt a little about the correctness of her actions and about Garmadon himself as a reliable protector of Ninjago. However, after she found Garmadon in the Temple of Rebirth and heard from him a story about the Oni, who had already corrupted and began to slowly destroy the Realm of the Departed, she realized that only Garmadon could stop them, and that she would need to cling to him at all costs. and she did it perfectly. She began searching for Lloyd in order to give her new father more strength, but during a brawl about the control of the Colossus, she again began to doubt, and this time in Garmadon himself, as a reliable defender of his Realm. Having descended from the building, she began to observe an interesting picture. All this time, when she tried to bring safety to the people of Ninjago, she was in her illusions about the correctness of her actions, but when she saw the true picture of what was happening, a realization came to her. By her actions, trying to protect the people of Ninjago, she only destroyed more lives. By doing everything she could to prevent the situation that happened to her, she only created thousands of new situations. She contemplated the separation of parents from their children, exactly similar to the separation of her from her parents. Still with good intentions, she led the entire family safely out of the building, only to find herself locked out. In her last moments, she reaped the consequences of her good mission. It was at this moment that her illusion completely dissipated and she saw the true picture of what was happening. She probably still hated Lloyd, but at the same time she hated herself and left this world as an unhappy, still immature child. That's the beauty of this character. This is a child with an incompletely formed mind and critical thinking, who was faced too early with such a serious shock as the death of her parents, and in combination with many factors she became who she is. Even after dying, she was still a child (I think she was 16 years old at the time of seasons 8-9), with the same immature mind. And so, crystallized begins, in which at the beginning her arc about her mission to protect Ninjago continues, only this whole arc is just garbage, and this supposed redemption of Harumi for help against the Overlord is such garbage, because not only does it not redeem everything that what she did (including the lives she took) also contradicts all her views and principles, which were so skillfully and carefully built in seasons 8-9. This is truly the best villain in Ninjago history (after Garmadon), and if you don't take into account that garbage arc from crystallized, she can rival Garmadon, Lloyd and other very well written Ninjago characters. For me, she is the top 2 best character after Garmadon, not only for all the above reasons, but also because of her originality, and most importantly, her essence. This is a child, and a child with an amazing role, not counting her arc in Crystallized
@@UltraNinjagoHarumi is very very underrated. This is a great character, one of the best in the entire series. Her death, details with masks based on her personality. Even though she is not the main character in seasons 8-9, she is so well written that she could easily become the main character

I’m happy about that fact they actually thought of giving her redeeming her in the first place Tommy andrason described the writing of season 16 Crystalized was like a tug-of-war and that to me would make a lot of sense cause in one episode you would have Lloyd and Harumi hating each other and in another you would have them looking out for one another and caring for each other Like I think if it were up to them they would like I said the controversy probably did a lot of speaking and decision making for them but they did not say she is dead and there are a lot of other old characters that we have not seen yet. Harumi is no longer mad at lloyd now that she knows the truth and lloyd forgave harumi( i know everyone is mad about this but forgiveness does not mean you are letting this person back in your life and that does not mean you trust them and they are in the same place as they were in before. it simply means letting go of the poison and all the toxic thoughts and no longer holding onto a grudge.) harumi is no longer mad at him ( although it is a really crappy reason at least she is not mad at the ninja anymore anyways) and already avenged her parents by helping lloyd and Garmadon defeat the overlord so she has no reason to be a villain anymore so i don't see the harm in them trying to move on from the past and try and be friends and Nya, they gave her back her powers but they managed to fix the two of them in Dragons Rising and everyone is happy why not try and do the same to Harumi like I am taking it 50% want her back and 50% don’t want her back but if they would do it right and not make llorumi happen they could please both sides like there is gonna be controversy either way so at least show us what happened or flashback best case they just bring her back and show us where her and Lloyd stand now in their complicated relationship cause her ending in Crystalized was left pretty open-ended like you can’t just leave THAT up to interpretation like too big of a gap to guess if we need to know what happened like seasons 4 and 5
Bro, did you notice that Harumi and Arin look practically alike? They both lost their parents, in different ways, and like Harumi, Arin is taking out all his anger on the ninjas. I think it would be a good time for Harumi to come back and help Arin get back on his feet (yes, convince him not to be the same person she was before). Maybe she can even convince him that he doesn't need elemental powers to be strong, like Harumi.
You know as hard as it was to see lloyd be betrayed by her and for her to be the enemy i loved that she never really stopped loving lloyd nor him her and its kimd of ironic that lloyd fell in love with the enemy since its what his mom did with garmadon but both in the end were redeemed and thats the part i admire most shes perfect for him i hope he reunites with her in dragons rising and they officialy end up together because she is definitely the one.... Fight me if you dare lol ❤❤❤❤
The messed up part about Lloyds is that he's been surrounded by very positive romantic energy his whole life, and then the writers just decided to mess it all up. It's like they're saying, "Sucks to be you, kid. Enjoy dealing with all that trauma." I don't know if people think he wants to end up alone, but I just really want him to have someone to talk to and relate to. The poor kid had one good thing going, and then the writers were like, "Nope, can't have that."
Harumi had an absolutely HISTORIC falloff in Crystalized. Its crazy just how fast she went from being one of Ninjago's greatest villains to one of it's absolute worst
lol and if I repeat if the writers actually can salvage an arc like how most of dragons rising fixed crystalized and I know it’s possible they can meet your standards crusty if a flipping fan fiction aka web of masks gets your approval, then they literally have no excuse if they plan to use harumi again lol

i feel like i'm the only one who liked Crystalized and liked harumi being redeemed but yeah like everyone i totally agree IT SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN DONE IN ONE EPISODE LET ALONG 30 SECONDS OR SOMETHING?????? it should have been through the course of the season and ep 17 Return to Prievel's eye was the perfect time to shine some light on this and have her begin that path of redemption i really really thought they were gonna do this but no...they didn't yeah i do agree she is a pretty controversial character especially her portrayal in Crystallized i mean i always thought that 50% of the fandom didn't like her and 50% of the fandom loved her that's what it looked like to me (thought the controversy of her portrayal in Crystalized would die down by now i mean it has been 2 years already!!!)
yeah i do agree Harumi is a pretty controversial character especially her portrayal in Crystallized i mean i always thought that 50% of the fandom didn't like her and 50% of the fandom loved her that's what it looked like to me (P.S, I'm one of the 50% who loves her i really hope Harumi comes back though I feel like more people would want to know what happened to her as time goes on I do believe the controversy from Crystalized will die down and therefore want her back in the show. do u think we will see harumi in future seasons?? like seasons 4 and 5 cause apparently.
(like harumi is human too she doesn't deserve sooooo much hate. yeah i do agree she is a pretty controversial character especially her portrayal in Crystallized i mean i always thought that 50% of the fandom didn't like her and 50% of the fandom loved her that's what it looked like to me (P.S, I'm one of the 50% who loves her)
Harumi is not dead if she were dead that would be a whole different story but she is not they did not confirm anything she just got revived in season 16 Crystalized and we have’nt seen her since season 9 that is like 4 years we haven’t seen her she is sooooo memorable with years of character development it would be sooo and such a shame for Harumi to be thrown out and forgotten about?!? i really want her too the writers have lots of planned writing ahead, but it would be nice to see her as a good guy in Dragons Rising if she were to return Like Doc Wyatt and Kevin Burke really like Harumi apparently and they also see her as a broken villain and Doc Wyatt confirmed that harumi’s feelings for Lloyd were there but they are complicated and Tommy Andrason had a whole other view point and I am guessing that is what caused the clashing writing in Crystalized cause Doc Wyatt and Kevin Burke wrote the better episodes where we see her looking guilty and wanted to redeem her you could tell they wanted to redeem her from the start but they were too many writers to have a good redemption arc but Tommy left the show and if they like her character soooo much wouldn’t that mean that they would be more willingly and likely to want to bring her back? i also liked how they tried to redeem her in Crystalized even though it could have been thought out better because she saved a family at the end of season 9 right before she died she and lloyd both looked at each other and harumi had this look of gulit in her eyes and even lloyd was shocked in that scene and soo upset that we went to go find her in the rumble to see if she was alright, when he said and we saw the flashback i was crying he loves her and cares for her soooo much. her redemption arc in Crystalized was not greatly executed they could have done better, i think they were trying to make her have a redemption arc and were trying to develop her character more and i liked that cause there were moments where u can just see deep down she didn't want to be evil she didn't tell Garmadon about lloyds location until he almost killed her and when she and lloyd both looked at each before she died she had a look of gulit regret and affection towards lloyd so i can understand why the writers tired to give her a redemption arc cause in the last moment she did something good and seemed to realise her mistakes if they would have just done 22min epsiodes it would have been good I really do believe it could have a really great redemption arc for Harumi, her redemption arc could have been better if it were for longer episodes and there were too many writers to make a good redemption arc, well at least they tried to that's a small thing i'm happy about that fact they actually thought of giving her redeeming her in the first place. Harumi is no longer mad at lloyd now that she knows the truth and lloyd forgave harumi( i know everyone is mad about this but forgiveness does not mean you are letting this person back in your life and that does not mean you trust them and they are in the same place as they were in before. it simply means letting go of the poison and all the toxic thoughts and no longer holding onto a grudge.)
harumi is no longer mad at him ( although it is a really crappy reason at least she is not mad at the ninja anymore anyways) and already avenged her parents by helping lloyd and Garmadon defeat the overlord so she has no reason to be a villain anymore so i don't see the harm in them trying to move on from the past and try and be friends and Nya, they gave her back her powers but they managed to fix the two of them in Dragons Rising and everyone is happy why not try and do the same to Harumi like I am taking it 50% want her back and 50% don’t want her back but if they would do it right and not make llorumi happen they could please both sides like there is gonna be controversy either way so at least show us what happened or flashback best case they just bring her back and show us where her and Lloyd stand now in their complicated relationship cause her ending in Crystalized was left pretty open-ended like you can’t just leave THAT up to interpretation like too big of a gap to guess if we need to know what happened like seasons 4 and 5
one of the best characters and my favorite, with great backstory, voice acting, role and of course the musical theme

Maybe she can even convince him that he doesn't need elemental powers to be strong, like Harumi.
didnt u put the exact same comment in another vid? (harumi in love but denying it)

@@Cuddle_bug14 yeahhh i saw the exact comment
That was exactly my thoughts when I watched Dr Season 2 Part 2
My favourite character ever
YESSSS i love Harumi i really hope to see her again in DR!!!
I get the feeling that harmi still has feelings for Lloyd

Jay: Hey Lloyd, what happened?
Lloyd: Harumi cheated.
Harumi: CHEATED?! Hold it there, old-timers! Did you think this was a game of Temple Gate Tigers in the park?! You never had a chance to stop me, fool! Would you like to know why?
Kai: Because you cheated?
Harumi: No! Not because I cheated! It's because I'm the one to rule Ninjago! You on the other hand are... just a kid! A stupid, unattractive kid! HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!
Citizens: droned Ha! Ha! Ha!
Lloyd: I guess you're right, Harumi. Maybe I'm just a kid,
Harumi: okay Wu...
Lloyd: And you know been through a lot in the past that I've learned everything during that time, it's that who you are and where you are
Harumi: That's right okay Wu
Lloyd: and no amount of combined elemental weapons, or hall of fame for GX, or some other 3rd thing, can make me more what I am inside, son of the Dark Lord
Harumi: that's great Lloyd, now get back against the wall
Lloyd: but that's okay! I did everything that a kid cannot do, the Golden Weapons made me the chosen one, I had friends to help me for a Gen. and we protected our land from evil like the tyrants and we will save the city again!
Harumi: Alright we got the point
Lloyd: So yeah I am a kid, I am also a runt, a prankster, and the worst student from my boarding school
Harumi: what's going on here
