    The reason for the back rail mount and the fact that the rails don't come pre mounted is the so that you could mount the front fan at the back if you want to. It makes complete sense for some cases.

      @@wldkhn456seems like you could, if you get the rails (and most preferably the same model of fan) from corsair.

      I think that they did it to keep shipping costs down, but I am not sure how the contents were arranged in the box.

    Good to know it performs well on X3D chips. The same can't be said for non 3D chips though.

    Great review, too many users under utilize the reliability of an air tower. CM824 works amazing with a 7950x3d from my experience.

    Could you make a test where you put the NF-A12X25 on it or the silent wings pro 4? Im just curious what it could do with better fans.

    I am a huge Air Cooler fan, and have built my last 3 computers with dual tower Air Coolers. But with how aggressively the Thermalright dual tower coolers are priced nowadays, where I can buy 3 or more PS120s for a single A115, I can't possibly justify spending so much more on A115 or whatever else is on the market. Thermalright has the Air Cooler market seriously cornered and the other makers have to find a way to compete or be pushed into niches and fan boy territory.

    Which one would you recommend between the MasterAir 824 or the Corsair A115 for the i7 14700k? I just want it to have low temperatures, I don't care about the noise of the cooler.

  • @RetroBerner

    Seems decent for people who don't mind fan noise and just want balls to the wall performance, regardless of cost. I'll just stick to the Peerless Assassin for my builds.

    Corsair is in a tough position, those seeking premium will choose Noctua, while those looking for price/performance will opt for Thermalright.

    not sure who corsair is trying to target here
    people looking to pay a premium price will go noctua, people looking to save money will go thermalright

  • @OptimizingNetwork
    @OptimizingNetwork 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I would mention some air coolers that I easily cooled my i9-13900k with, but I won't mention them here, because they will shoot up in price.
    No, not Noctua. In fact the air coolers I am talking about will beat Noctua's top of the line cooler
    The main thing is fin density, and ability to quickly transfer heat to them. In fact those 2 air coolers from separate companies are smaller than Noctua's flagship aircooler
    As much as I appreciate the simplicity of an air cooler, I never liked the fin and metallic rumble they exhibit while under load. You cannot defeat the turbulance, but it will be there. Unlike water cooler, where you can set the fans lower and motor to lower RPM and cool just as good as air.

      @dagameboy 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@MadridistaFrieren not really, they both use two 8 core chipsets that use the same amount of power. They are even under the same heat spreader. The only difference is actually the 3dvcache, which only adds power draw to the chip (that actually makes the x3d version the better chip to use for benchmarking lol).
