    It’s a good knife. I have a coutnterpoint for over a year and it served well for me. Spear point shape blade is good for piercing and slicing. And it’s intimidating knife as well

      I love me some Spearpoints, such a good bladeshape. And yes you are right it is a good knife, not sure if that came across enough in the video. Thanks for watching.

    Great review here. I have this knife and it's big brother and they're both outstanding blades. Worth MUCH MORE than their cost!

      I think we watch all the same videos haha. Every knife video I watch, you have left a comment. You must have an incredible collection. My cold steel collection isn't that big as the prices here in England are very high. My first was a ti-lite 6 in 2012 with aluminium scales and aus8a blade, before it switched to the ctsxhp. I purchased an espada xl g20 last year on a black Friday deal and very recently I was choosing between this counterpoint and a ti lite4 although this knife is possibly better, my heart was telling to pick the ti lite, so I got the zytel version and it's a lovely little knife. Also have a Shanghai shadow, a gladius machete and several of the tomahawks which I've been modifying and selling. Keeping the pipe hawk though. Anyway best of luck with everything.

      Shhhh. Dont tell cold steel but I think the Counterpoint 1 is perfectly priced and to be honest I think it's more well-built than any Emerson or ZT knives. I do wish they would come out with some different handle designs maybe some nice grainy wood designs and some G10 or Micarta and the thumb stud is only thing other it needs to be changed it would be better with the top mounted thumb stud like they use on some other of their designs so it can be "waived" open

      @@AD-yt8ik the only bad part of Cold Steel is there warranty service back in 2019 I broke the pocket clip off of my Counterpoint I have been emailing and calling ever since trying to get a new clip they refuse to sell me one because it's under warranty and they say they will give me one for free I'm still waiting but I also still carrying my Counterpoint daily pocket clip or not

    Thanks for the work you put into this video. I just ordered this knife; it is perhaps the last Cold Steel I will purchase. After acquisition by GSM, Cold Steel will never be the same.

      Hmm i will stop buying them when my list is done. But yeah i feel so too, it´s a bit weird. They bought SOG knives now too, maybe it´s going to be ok, maybe not, only time will tell.

      @@megaronknives3032 After seeing the 2022 new models, it is clear that Cold Steel is just putting out generic stuff. Cool knives with a fighting spirit, like the one in this video, are a thing of the past. Some models are sold out and prices are rising. I would hurry to acquire CS knives.

      @@theWZZA I haven´t really looked into their new lineup for this year, i am only going to buy 1 or two more Voyagers and than that´s probably it, unless there is something really incredibly nice. So i don´t have a lot of stress, the Voyagers seem tobe stable price wise.
      Yeah i have seen that the bigger bowies are way more expenisve now, on the other hand all knives are getting more expenisve.

    I have this knife with the original handle non textured I cannot even begin to tell you how great of a knife this is I carry this knife daily if I forget it at home I will turn around and be late to work over not having this with me it stays sharp for a very long time it has cut everything that I've tried to cut with it I live in California fixed blades are legal to carry yet you get dirty looks from people I imagine they assume you're carrying as a weapon this this knife is as strong as most fixed blades in an EDC roll you will not be disappointed owning this knife it does take a little while to break in the lock it is very stiff to the point where you will hurt your thumb from closing it just leave the blade in a 90 degree open position for a few days if you want it smoother you can disassemble it and slightly round over locking bar I've owned this knife for so long I don't remember when I bought it I'm going to purchase a couple more just to have on hand in case I lose it I doubt I will ever break it though the 2 best tools I ever carried everyday 7 days a week are the Cold Steel counter point 1 and a Leatherman super tool 300 I don't go anywhere without either one. I also have the counter point XL it's a little much to carry but it's a cool knife to have and show off the only thing I would change on this knife is the thumb stud I wish it was more like the Top mounted thumb studs like they use on many of their other designs they can be used to "wave" the knife open. It would also nice to see some nice grainy wood handles or some G10 or Micarta

    • @megaronknives3032
      @megaronknives3032  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Now that speaks for itself. I doubt though that they will do Micarta or wood in the future, but aftermarket scales are for sure possible to be made. If you are interested in a wave opener, check out the Snaggletooth MF, which screws in the thumbstud hole (have a video on my channel if you are interested).
      Thanks for watching!

    Needs an all black pocket clip instead of a polished / shiny clip. Replaced the clip with a mat finish titanium deep carry clip.
    Great all round knife but the TI-LITE is a better pocket stabber. The wave feature on the ti-lite makes deployment effortless straight out of the pocket.
