My son got me tickets for him and I to go to the BYU v Arizona game this last weekend and I thought, "I will keep a good attitude no matter what happens." I didn't want him to feel bad if BYU lost. But WOW! BYU handled Arizona. I mean took them down. I am worried about the dropped passes and the Retslaf throwing behind his receivers a bit, but BYUs defense is like a cat with a string. We didn't, even without offensive star player. We're not a national champion-level team, but we definitely belong top 3 in the Big 12, and top 20 in the country, when some early predictions had us as a 3-9 and 4-8 team this season.

BYU only won against K-State because they have a young turnover prone quarterback and they turned turnovers into points? Umm, BYU wins that game with 10 points. Their defense destroyed K-state whether they would have turned turnovers into points or not. They also beat an otherwise undefeated SMU on the road. And now that BYU faces a hot Arizona team today, Arizona suddenly has an underperforming QB with no talent around him? Sounds like someone is scared to see BYU win again so you need to sell it as a BS win before it happens so you can continue to spread your hate for them after the game. Also... Turnovers aren't always an indication that a team is playing sloppy, or QB mistake. Defense can force them, which is something everybody seems to forget. Yet all of these teams that don't often have turnovers (SMU, KSU, AU,) when they play BYU, MYSTERIOUSLY lose the ability to hold onto the ball. That, and you need to have the ability to capitalize on the turnover. We had more turnovers against Baylor than they had against us, but we turned their turnovers into scores. After they play us, they do well preventing turnovers again.
A few years ago its was Baylor beating BYU at home. The welcome to the big12 and P5 football smack was nuts. Now BYU is undefeated and the story is its the opponet, not BYU. Classic
I know BYU and Iowa State will be playing in the Big 12 championship. Baylor is going to make TT look like a top 10 team. They ain’t winning in Lubbock and it want be close. I got TT by three touchdowns. Right now, Baylor is playing for moral victories.

Looking ahead at their schedules, 12 and 0 or 11 and 1 is completely possible. The top-ranked teams are not so dominant this year. Georgia, Alabama, Ohio State, Tennessee, they've all shown real vulnerabilities this year. I don't think that any big 12 team could stand against Oregon or Texas this year, but making it to the playoffs? Not so tough this year.
