sweetheart final film

Sweetheart is a film about a boy who goes through challenging situations and takes his anger out in a very negative and inhumane way. School shootings are not something that should be glorified or looked highly upon; that is not the message we are trying to convey. Throughout the articles, talks with doctors, and studies we have found, we figured we had a pretty good understanding of the basic mentality of one's mindset. From the research, we have concluded that someone who would do this is mentally unstable. Home life, depression, mental illnesses and other factors greatly impact this person. We are simply trying to say that if you see signs or are suspicious, don't be afraid to talk to a trusted adult or make friends with the person. Nobody is ever alone in this world and everyone wants to be accepted. In just 15 minutes it was quite challenging to fit a whole story in. However, within those 15 minutes, our team touched on things that contributed to the storyline rather than to just focus on the shooter. The film is confusing to a certain degree but we had our reasons. 1. We had to be respectful because this is a touchy topic. 2. it was hard to fit all of the important information in a 15 minute time frame. Our team was able to pull off a film that the audience could understand while also respecting the tragedy that some people have gone through in life. Again, this film was NOT made to glorify school shootings (or any shooting in that matter). If you see something, say something.
