    So far I've got 2 problems.
    - The sticky button I mentioned at 03:50, I took the transmitter apart and the problem is from the bad switch unit. Not that I'll use it anyway but you should know the QC is not that good.
    - It resets itself with just a light tap. The battery compartment doesn't seem to be holding it well.
    Such a shame, it's got great features with good selection of receivers.

      great video review. Have you had any other QC issues with it? Did you ever find an avenue to buy the foam wheel as an accessory?

      @@stalyun8211 Just those 2 where the button is a bit harder to fix. The battery tray has problem in the slot so if you trim some of the plastic down it'll work fine. As for the wheel upgrade, you can get the foam wheel version on Aliexpress. www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004371293939.html

      It depends on what you want to do for touring or racing then get a RWD that has 98mm wheelbase like McLaren P1 or Audi R8. For drifting get the AWD with 90 or 94mm wheelbase like the new Supra, Skyline, AE86 or Subaru Impreza with bodykit.

    Great overview on this radio Beaver! Lots of features for the price. I think this will be a good radio for someone just starting the hobby. The fact that Flysky officially makes a nano sized rx for 1/28 scale is fantastic. The lack of foam or even rubber on the wheel is a big letdown. Flysky makes a better wheel for this radio but you have to buy it separately.

      To be honest I never let the battery run out and I usually charge it after a driving session (about 4-5 hours).

      G7P is better. It has better performance, better receivers and better battery compatibility. If you will also use it with a car with 4 wheel steering, G7P also has a dedicated mixing mode for it.

    I am in the market for another transmitter. right now I am using a raidolink and so far it seems to do what I need it to. I watch lots of your videos and notice that you don't have any brand loyalty and you go from high end to cheaper ones. I am not looking to break the Bank. what would you recommend right now. Lots of the sub 100 ones out there. Probably going to get it from AliExpress but if you have any other recommendations I am always open to your suggestions. Thanks for always sterling me in the right direction

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you have many Radiolink receivers that you still use, another Radiolink is always a good choice. RC6GS V3 is a really robust transmitter.
      Flysky G7P is good if you need the micro receiver with JST-ZH plug (if you do 1/28, 1/24 for example). And if you need the servo frequency setting. Otherwise, it's not as rugged nor well-built as Radiolink and the latency is the same so I don't see much point using G7P apart from the need of 2 things I mentioned above.
      Another good choice is Futaba 3PV if you can get it for less than $100. It's usually $130-150. And even the 3rd party receivers are like $20+ a piece. So, not much of a budget but it has good build quality. I wouldn't recommend stretching your budget to get it.
      Right now Radiolink is still the best for under $100. G7P is good if you have specific needs and Futaba is excellent if you can get it for cheap.

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Unfortunately there's no internal gyro. But it's great for 1/28 whether drifting or touring. For RWD drift we always use external gyro so there's not going to be a problem either way.

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@808DC2R For 1/28 the receiver is FlySky FS-R4M. IT will come with JST-ZH plug ready for 1/28 electronics from major brands like Atomic, GL, Furitek, etc. As for the gyro, the best one for the size is AGF GY04M V3 or AFRC GYS-2 V3. There are others with the same case and board, basically they are the same gyro but with different branding.

      When used with lipo or anything that plugs into the JST under, there's no random restart anymore so the problem is clearly in the battery compartment.
