Nick, I believe I know where you are in this video and there is a commuter parking lot on the other side of the highway, on the service road. From there, you can stroll up and down that creek. You are in my area in this video. Lots of fish go over that spillway when the water is up. I agree with some other people's comments in that I really do look forward to your videos. Keep up the good work.
That is such a cool little ecosystem. Large mouth bass, channel and bullhead catfish, sunfish, and carp. I wish I had somewhere like that near me. It something amazing about fishing a little creek/spillway and I would absolutely love for you to go back with some waders on and get to that other spot.
I LOVE your videos, you'r the one TH-cam fishing channel that I look forward to getting notifications from! There are other channels, but there videos are frequently boring, & not as energetic as you are!
Definitely go back when the heat subsides. Being over heated is the worst feeling bro. You had me worried for a minute. Thanks for the great video!! Tight lines
Electrolyte tablets(without sodium) made it possible for me to work in the heat and humidity of Arkansas. You might carry some in your tackle box. True lifesavers.
Just want to say thank you Nick! I can only imagine how hard it is to take all your fishing tackle, and camera gear, to make these awesome videos. I appreciate your effort, and I really enjoy your videos! Keep up the great work!
That's a beautiful spot. Weather has been absolutely insane for sure. Looks like you've been having more luck with the fishing in this heat than I have.
In an ocean of fishing videos yours is one of the best made. Fun to watch. Excellent editing, and no screeching 'fish on' over and over like some many others. LOL.
Makes you realize all the effort it takes for Nick to make these great videos. He's got to be thinking while going down to set up the camera and climbing back up for the shot, "man I could be fishing already"! We appreciate you Nick!
Risks his life climbing down a cliff, suffers from dehydration in 105 degree heat.....YES IT'S A COMMON CARP!!!!! LMAO, that's why we love this show. Awesome looking spot, and it shouldn't get over fished due to the access, surprised there weren't more big ones in there.
Perfect anniversary tonight... Steaks and new uploads from 618 fishing and Joe robinet. Thanks for everything you do! Moved down to the country so I can do more than just watch fishing. Thanks for the inspiration! Definitley go back to that spot. Love seeing you fish in Missouri!
How sweet was that place? Risking life and limb for us. Very cool you managed to net the big boy. Awesome music choice. CHALLENGE: video compilation like 10 of each or whatever “what’s going on everybody , see ya later buddy, what is this, feels like a good one, fish on, oh it’s a bowfin, bass, catfish...etc” You would absolutely knock that out.
Title says it all , that is an insane spillway for sure . Anytime you gotta scale a cliff , that's a real "Fishing Adventure" !!! This vid was a good one , loved it 👍👍
I live in the land of Lincoln , I’ve never seen nor did I know there was any streams that looked like that . Looks like a sweet place to spend a good day fishing
Nick Buddy! Les Stroud would be proud of your camera work! Excellent job, cool area to make a return visit to. 106 dangerous degrees???? Man, you are definitely dedicated!
There are nice flatheads in the inlet creek to that lake. Also there is some decent bass in that spillway. I've caught a 5lber there before. But it floods every year washing most fish downstream so it's different every year. And to get to the first hole there u have to climb up the cliff side in the corner then walk down and climb back down along the waterfall.
That's incorrect and dangerous...much more safe to just cross through the water you'll get wet and possibly injured trying to climb down that waterfall
Your the only youtuber that I have notis on and I get hyped whenever I see a TH-cam noti😂 EDIT: WHEN 618 FISHING LIKES YOUR COMMENT😳😳 2nd EDIT: when you edited your comment and the heart goes away😔
When the heat gets to you, cool your feet and lower legs in the water. keeping them cool will stop you from over heating. Feet and ankles are particularly sensitive to heat, as they have lots of pulse points. So a clever way to give the body an instant cool down is by dipping your feet in cold water for a couple of minutes. I have fished knee deep in trout streams that come from bottom draw dams in 100 degree heat and never broke a sweat
Absolutely, I work in the heat down here in Louisiana. But drinking cold water gives me stomach cramps in the summer, but I too have learned the wrist technique, I keep a bucket of ice water around and when I start feeling bad I just dunk my hands in up to mid forearm and it will literally send chills through your whole body instantly making you feel 20 degrees cooler!!!
When all else fails, a good ole rust bucket carp will do. I actually like fishing for them. One of the quickest ways to get a 20lb fish and have a good 10-15 minute fight on your hands.
That was one of the awesomeness spillways I’ve ever seen! I’m heading to Bagnel Dam at 2:00 am to fish my favorite spillway. It’s only 3 hours from home lol.
Dude you are 15 minutes from my house I’ve wanted to fish this forever wow man I’ve actually done that climb a few times myself!!! I’m actually so giddy with excitement watchin this you’ve opened my eyes best believe I’ll be tryin this spot ;) do not worry though secrets safe. Fisherman’s promise
MarSar Fishin' there’s only a few catfish I like to eat and that channel cat blue cat somewhere around 12”, and Opelousas cats 12-30”. When they get real big they just have a fatty greasy taste and I don’t care for that

Me and the daughter had been going to public fishing spots, and that changed not long after seeing your videos. You've given us a real gift, and I hope to run into you one of these days. I even picked up an Illinois fishing license, since I always keep a pole in the car when I do my courier job. We look for new videos daily, and I hope you do really well on YT See you later buddy!
Hey I live stlouis and do some fishing st Charles I recommend Carlyle Illinois nick HHS’s already done one video there but didn’t go on a good day it seems
Man, I thought you were going down climbing down that cliff! Thought we were going to have to say, "See ya later buddy" Kudos for making that trip at least twice.
Nick, love the way you just get down to the Nitty Gritty of fishing in places you least expect to catch great fish. It’s a nice change of pace from all the Uber technical stuff out there on other fishing channels.
By far my favorite fishing channel. I always get excited when that notification pops up. I'd love to fish this spillway. Even if i caught nothing it's still pretty to look at.
I'm glad I'm in good company with catching Stick Fish! I'd like to see you fish the spillway itself. With the heat of summer upon you, you'd dry out in no time. Another awesome video, Nick. Cheers from the new 2nd wave Corona-19 LockDown in Victoria, Australia, I wish you tight lines, stay safe, n' see you in the next video.
You've slowly become my favorite and in my opinion the most dedicated Fisherman in the TH-cam Community. Keep up the good work and keep bringing next level content. Your videos inspire not only myself, but a lot of others to get out there and create some quality content. Again, Tight Lines bro.
So much dedication to making these videos for us, the viewers. Setting up cameras and re-doing things just so we can see what is happening. Kudos, and keep it up. Love the videos from 812
So I started watching you about a year ago-ish. I don't comment much but I love all of your fishing trips. Your filming skills and attitude and your classy, entertaining ways are definitely a gift from God. You must really work hard to put all of this together. Top notch job on all counts. Thank you so much. You've become a highlight in my life which must be odd to you because you had no clue of me. That's got to be a weird aspect to having so many fans. 1:18 Thumbs up for climbing down, setting up the camera, then climbing back up to film yourself climbing down again 👍
He used his drone! Lol
@@jap122664 he used the camera on the tripod
100% agreed! It does make great footage.
Les Shroud style
A+ for effort... If we could just set up shades and chairs with cups of coffee to watch you fish...
This man deserves at least 1 million subs. He has great quality video and audio, and has excellent editing skills.
Who else loves the spill way series
You mean basically channel not just series.
Dakotah Younger 🤣
yeah, but i also liked the hidden/tiny pond/creek videos and the tiny lure challenges and his attemps for flyfishing
I do.
😑 meh 😑
The fact that he climbed down, set up the camera, climbed up, then recorded himself climb back down just shows the commitment. I love it lol!
"What a cool looking fish! Let's put a hook in his back and catch a bigger one" I love it haha
618 fishing deserves its own tv show
This is better, but I know what you mean.
At least this way he goes where he wants does what he wants. That's the charm of his videos
You should make a montage of all the times you’ve said “see you later buddy”
For sure
It would never end 😂
It would be a 4 hour video
Would have to do it in 5 or 6 videos. Lol 🎣
Yes!!! 😀😀💯
Would definitely love to see you fish this location again. There has to be some big fish there.
The spot is absolutely gorgeous! I would watch you fish this place again just for the scenery! Great video friend! Keep up the good work!

Awesome place to fish..nice move on the climb down..thats dedication..had a blast..fish that spot again

The first fish you caught us a longear sunfish i believe...they are really beautiful
I don’t think they have longer sunfish up north
I’m from PA and there’s none here
In southern Ohio, we call them pumpkin seeds
WEXCR Jake I believe they are different fish species,
It was a Pumpkin seed
