It's finally here, the story of Shadow's Werehog curse! This video will reveal the dark truth about what Shadow had to go through with this curse, and how it affected his physical and mental state. We spent a lot of time making this video and we are so happy that it's finally here and we hope you guys enjoy what we have produced! For this video, SimitarchVOs is filling in as Shadow instead of Ssj Blake who sadly was unable to record. Please be respectful to both actors because they put a lot of effort into the character and both deserve the love and support from you guys. More Werehog videos will come in the future, but for now Shadow's Werehog Story will be put on hold.......but he will return!

This one was amazing, I think the difference in voice actor for shadow indirectly helped be more convincing. He was growling, roaring and grunting in ways that would’ve ruined his voice for sure and additionally made this episode feel a lot more somber.

I’m imagining that the in-story reason why Shadow sounds a little different here is that he strained his voice during his rampage and it’s still recovering (btw great job to SimitarchVOs on the voice acting! Wonderful impression and character acting! Even if it’s just as a understudy, they did a great job!)
Poor shadow. I feel terrible what he went through but it's not his fault. If it wasn't for sonic and silver shadow wouldn't be saved. Shadow is blessed to have sonic and silver as his friends. I'm glad shadow is okay now.

Alright, commenting some points about the video...
First, that starting animation. I surely DID NOT expect something like that for a start! And Sonic's pacing broke me for a sec, lol- I was like "Dude, stop pacing or you're gonna have an anxiety attack" the entire time he was doing so. Anyone else?
Second, the story itself. Heck, I can even see something similar to it have a chance of happening in the og franchise! Though the "getting sick for the first time", "descending further into madness", "getting more aggressive" and "seeing himself hurt Sonic and Silver through his own eyes" parts broke my heart, something I didn't do because of a VRChat video in a while. I'm actually hoping Sonic, Shadow and Silver'll find a way around Shadow's Werehog curse.
Third, Team Triple-S's friendship. It was so heartwarming to see these three have some bonding time after the whole explanation. Shadow really did need that, there's no denying it, you can notice it by his tone of voice and even way of acting after being saved. Sonic saying that whether Shadow liked it or not, he was their friend, and always would be, and even Silver saying they'd never give up on him melted me, honestly- it's also a breath of fresh air to see Shadow being caring for once, after seeing so much media of him being an edgylord at all times.
Lastly, the idea of going to Eggman for help. It's a risky one, because of the risk of a double-cross. But so far, there's no other options, so we gotta go for it.
Summing up, awesome video, Silver! I look forward to see more of this Werehog Arc, it's being really interesting so far!

I have a theory that the dark Gaia energy and the black arms energy mixed together when he went into werehog to prove it even more shadow also gains a full on tail simler to eclipse or any of black arms creatures

That was a sad dark story I ever heard 😢. Shadow is in a lot of pain on his Werehog curse, but I'm glad he's okay. Glad that he's back to normal. I hope Tails and........Eggman as well, can help Shadow to get rid of his werehog curse

I haven't watched the whole thing yet but I just started it.
I've heard SimitarchVOs play Shadow before this came out, and he did great! And his step-in for Blake was a good call. I enjoyed all the details in the story leading up to today. And what I said earlier in the arc was true. The werehog curse affects Shadow differently due to him having alien DNA. Hopefully, Sonic and Silver will help Shadow control his werehog form in the near future.

That was one HECK of a story I can't believe Shadow went through all that and him being alone I feel kinda bad for him.I know the werehog curse isn't easy for ANY of them but it sounds like Shadow had the WORST of it.The curse affected him differently because he was created in a lab and his father is Black Doom hopefully Eggman and Tails could give him something to help keep his Werehog form under control and if it's too hard for them maybe Tailia could help too

First off, WOW. If I expected anything, it’s not that the curse was so gradual in its takeover. He had control over some posts, but it just kept going, on and on and on, until he fully gave in to the madness and was no longer the master of his own body! Sonic and Silver did the right move to fight him and chase the curse off. But imo, since the curse doesn’t work on the ARK, due to there being no full moon counts in space, I recommend he stays there until further notice. Second, I don’t think Eggman’s the best option for help, he’s known for double-crossing people who need him, and he just might harness Shadow’s curse for his own benefit. It might not happen, but it’s a possibility. Third, kudos to you once again, dude! What an addition to the werehog arc! Just comes to show the consequences of thinking before you do something stupid, like, I dunno, intercepting someone with lycanthropy? Amazing work! Looking forward to seeing the next part, no rush!
While Eggman might not be the safest option, I'm afraid going to him is the best chance Shadow has. From what I remember from Sonic Unleashed, the only way to help Shadow is to get the Dark Gaia energy out of his body, and since it's a living thing, it'll only leave when it wants too. When the original Dark Gaia broke apart and became a bunch of different creatures, Eggman was able to develop a kind of homing signal that drew most of them to his base, and at least was able to contain the beasts. True, it took the real Dark Gaia to get the energy out of Sonic, but it's a start.

okay youtube is mess with me. i have 0 comments on my screen but i see comments under it. i can not wait to see what happened to shadow the hedgehog werewolf story. i just said this i just fan of shadow the hedgehog but i just wonder what happened to him.
My guess as to why Shadow became more primal over time is basically due to his nature, his personality, of a somewhat cold, merciless hedgehog. Now of course he has come away from that now, but perhaps those instincts came back and somehow merge with the wild animal instincts he gained overtime.
It's probably just because he's not a real hedgehog.
Hmmm...maybe, but I think the hole os more deeper than that, I mean, sure Shadow sometimes is...an extreme radical hedgehog when It comes ti fighting, but remember, he's a GUN Agent, he's very discopline, he needs to be to lead Team Dark and other GUN squadrons, so, in my view, this curse would still take lot more time to take over Shadow
My suspicions IS, something, or rather, someone, is pulling the strings of all of this. Evil people who have grudges against Shadow and wants him to Go crazy, to be in the edge of insanity, make him believe he doesn't have salvatiom and finally would ask for anyone to finish his life forever. Avery sadistic plan, a plan I could see Mephiles and Infinite being the masterminds of it. Mephiles hás the intellect, sadistic personality and the time power emough to set the stage and Infinite along with Mephiles he hás a huge grudge on Shadow and, If Infinite managed tô make another Phantom Ruby or even Mephiles going back in time to retrive the Ruby before it's desroyed and give to Infinite to hellp him in his plan, anyways, Infinite with his Phantom Ruby could creat ilusions to confuse Shadow and combined with Mephiles' powers It could make Infonite's ilussions more realistas c and scary than before, driving anyone crazy, even the most prepared and hardcore people like Shadow would eventually sucump on craziness and do things they don't want to do.
It's just a theory, It could be what you guys said, but I have a feeling I should express also my suspicious for future episodes

@@sebastianspencer3644 Actuallu he appeared in a Silver's deram where he was in werehog form and Dark Gaia was chasing him all around the house. Just look at VR Chat Episode playlist, you'll find.
And about Dark Gaia itself, I don't know, this thing is sure the responsible for the Werehog Curses but there are 2 reasons why I keep my prediction:
1 - Dark Gaia, If I remember well, is kinda a mindless entity, It doesn't actually have porpuses or reasons of why to torment soecifically Shadow, It would do to all the 3 hedgehogs If It was the cause.
2 - Mephiles and Infinite working together to torment Shadow makes more sense and kind of, in a poetic and creepy way logical. Both characters don't have interests in Silver and Sonic. Mephiles manipulated Silver through out the whole Sonic '06 story and Infinite BEAT the crap out Silver during Sonic Forces and Sonic at Sonic '06 was killed easily by Mephiles' hand and Infinite defeated Sonic quite easily at the begining of Sonic Forces, showing that, in Mephiles and Infonite's point of view, Silver and Sonic are no challenges for them. But Shadow, in the other hand, got a deep history with these 2 villans. In Sonic '06, It was Shadow who sealed Mephiles in the Scoter of Darkness for 10 years and tried to deal him again in the present timeline and he was the only character who was not manipulated by him, also in Sonic '06, Mephiles demonstrated a huge interest to have Shadow as an allie, also Shadow was the only character to piss Mephiles off making him reveal his crystal form in front of Shadow. In Sonic Forces it's more simples, Shadow while envadong an Eeggman's fortess he humiliated Infinite (who was a mercenary at that time) and his mercenary squadron at Infinite swire since that day he would not feel fear for anyone, not even Shadow who privattly swore revenge against him.
So you got 2 villans, 2 sociopaths, who have a huge grudge and, scary, a devition for Shadow, y'know, kinda a Batman-Joker relation (but with 2 Joker obviously) and I would be excited to see the plot twist where Infinite and Mephiles appear in front of Team SSS and Mephiles tells It was both of them causing those ilusions and pain in Shadow's mind in a very sociopath way of eplanation, with no remorses and even laughting for what they did, makingShadow piss off and run to attack, just to fall in a trap where I can think on 2 possibilities 1 - Mephiles betrays Infinite, taking all Shadow's power (Chaos Powers, Super, Hyper, Dark and Werehog) and wbsorb ti himself, to reconstrução his Solaris form and merge to Dark Gaia, creating a totally New cosmic force of Nature. 2 - the machine would turn Shadow evil and under Control Mephiles and Infinite and making him cause havia around the world and "showing" how dangerous Shadow truly was for the world, kinda connecting to that Sonic '06 scene in Flame Core stage where Mephiles shows Shadow's Future where humanity chase him because they feared and envy Shadow's Power and when the Flames of Disaster event ocurred, It was the cue humanity needed to start chasing Shadow, even using Ômega to try and stop him. - my bet is for the 1st Potions. It's more and epic y'know.
About who would contruct such a machine, at start I thoght in Eeggmwn, but since will be looking for his help I already scratched that and them I they get in 2 possibilities: 1 - Mas Raios 2 - Neo Metal Sonic (Sonic Heróis) - my bet IS Neo Metal Sonic, he's cruel and was able to fool his creator during the game and almost Win at the end of Sonic Heróis. And since teams in Sonic are consisted to 3-4 members I thought Metal Sonic could frete as the speed type and engineerer of the team and Zavrak being the brawns-wnd-not-brains team

Oh goodness, I feel bad for Shadow his werehog curse has got worse. He couldn't control himself, but Sonic and Silver did heal him, put him in a tube, and they did it he's okay I'm glad Shadow has Sonic and Silver cares about him and be there for him no matter what.

Something that I realized after watching this video. Shadows second form of his three Werehog forms. He reminds me of eclipse the darkling it's probably the long tail.
I think it’s the Black Doom DNA in side of him that’s making the curse more extreme.
