Something like this happened in NYC years ago and if I recall correctly it killed a young lady. A detective working on the case managed to roughly calculate where the bullet came from. He went to the area and the first person he talked to about the incident was the owner of the gun that accidently went off.

I went with my son to SHEDD aquarium a few years back and it wasnt bad at all. A bus driver gave us a ride for free....for a few miles....because we got off the train at the wrong stop and couldnt find a ride. He was off duty and we were the only ones on that bus. That guy was a saint.....I wish I could give him a hug RIGHT NOW! It breaks my heart to worry about what will happen to me or my son now if we go now. I am scared, I wont lie. I am 40 and have been to Chicago over a dozen times, but am scared to go now. I hope that changes in my lifetime.

It’s amazing the velocity of a bullet even from a mile away. A bullet that probably was not shot from a high powered rifle but can still cause deadly harm from that far away. Why weren't they using metal detectors to search in the grass for the shell casings? It would have maybe been a lot more effective. For one, when they walk on the grass, they may inadvertently step on a casing, pushing it farther down into the ground, making it even harder to find just with 'the naked eye' and no metal detectors.
Two reasons: they know it didn't come from outside the stadium, even though that's the official story, and any metal detector search of grass anywhere nearby would turn up more casings than a crime scene investigator could sort through in a career.

Update: the bullet came from a gun nearby. It was hidden in some cows fat folds. I think it was the one that got "grazed in the abdomen" that had the pistol stuffed in her lumpy cellulite holster. Probably one of the purple bubbles got snagged in the trigger and then pulled it when she choked and coughed a little from throating a pair of stadium saltdogs between pitches.

That must have been weird pretty weird feeling. I wonder if its even painful at first or just confusing. Crazy part is, the grouping of the people that were hit, plus the fact its almost proven she didn't discharge a firearm.
Why weren't they using metal detectors to search in the grass for the shell casings? It would have maybe been a lot more effective. For one, when they walk on the grass, they may inadvertently step on a casing, pushing it farther down into the ground, making it even harder to find just with 'the naked eye' and no metal detectors.

Update: the bullet came from a gun nearby. It was hidden in some cows fat folds. I think it was the one that got "grazed in the abdomen" that had the pistol stuffed in her lumpy cellulite holster. Probably one of the purple bubbles got snagged in the trigger and then pulled it when she choked and coughed a little from throating a pair of stadium saltdogs between pitches.
