I was three months old the last time they played in the playoffs. As a 10 year old I didn't think I'd have to wait until my Junior year in college to watch this team play in the postseason but better late then never! For you haters out there, so what if the Mariners eventually lose their divisional round series or ALCS or whatever? Or if they can't reach World Series ever since? So be it. Let those smaller teams have their moments. From a Filipino guy who has never been to America, who learned to love this team just from a no-choice situation watching sports via cable-tv on a Japanese network focusing on Ichiro, the finishing of their playoff drought is a God-send for me. I learned to love Seattle eventually, how it was disheartening to lose the Supersonics just before KD broke out, how it was enjoyable watching Browner, Thomas, Chancellor and Sherman hurt people legally (L.O.B!) on their way to a Seahawks Superbowl victory. Those things can't compare to a Mariners playoff berth. And this is on a different formula - I remember them being so dominant in both close games (Sasaki closing day after day) and lopsided games (Bret Boone batflip) only to be deflated by the Yankees. At least this team is a pitching-centric underdog of a team that has low expectations to win it all. They're on the other end of the spectrum. Just play your hearts out, guys. Let the naysayers SEA US RISE!

It was nuts man, people dancing with strangers on the concrete, hugging, hi fiving, heck even the staff were getting in on it. Noise didn't stop for at least an hour and a half. Fans just stayed in awe and happiness. Jumbo tron showed Rick Rizz and everyone just screamed and cheered and he was in tears, Scott's rousing speech to the fans, just all of it was truly magical

This is awesome. I remember how it felt when the Jays ended their 22-year drought in 2015. It felt like we had won the pennant. Especially with the subsequent locker room celebrations that follow playoff-clinching games in MLB. I've always like the Mariners. Congrats. We moved to Washington state from New Mexico back in 1974...same year the Seattle pilots changed their name to the Mariners but kept the navy blue/yellow n white uniform colors added on to the new teal and navy blue.. but heck ya!! Got to see some great games in the Kingdome (Mariners and Seahawks) as a young man (11) and from there on I've been a PNW by heart since! Love my 2 home states so much we decided to live in Colorado.. close to mtns and rivers and close to family in abq. Lived and breathed northwest 1974-1998. Go Mariners and Go Hawks!!

We moved to Washington state from New Mexico back in 1974...same year the Seattle pilots changed their name to the Mariners but kept the navy blue/yellow n white uniform colors added on to the new teal and navy blue.. but heck ya!! Got to see some great games in the Kingdome (Mariners and Seahawks) as a young man (11) and from there on I've been a PNW by heart since! Love my 2 home states so much we decided to live in Colorado.. close to mtns and rivers and close to family in abq. Lived and breathed northwest 1974-1998. Go Mariners and Go Hawks!!

As kids we dream of coming up to bat bottom of the 9th 2 outs full count and hit a hr to win the game and happen to go into the playoffs way to Cal Raleigh now take this momentum into the playoffs with Julio coming back more positive vibes go M’s

21 years old first time in my whole life I saw them make the playoffs. Sadly I didn't see the game because I'm on swing shift I hate myself for it
