►Synopsis:
Was it all a coincidence or was it inevitable? Ichigo Kurosaki obtained the powers of a Soul Reaper through a chance encounter. As a substitute for the Soul Reaper, Ichigo became caught up in the turmoil of the Soul Society, a place where the souls of the departed gather. But with the help of his friends, Ichigo overcame all the challenges to become even stronger. When new Soul Reapers and a new enemy appear in his hometown of Karakura, Ichigo returns to the battlefield with his Zanpakuto to help those in need. Meanwhile, the Soul Society observes a sudden increase in the number of Hollows being destroyed in the World of the Living. They also receive separate reports from residents in the Rukon district who have gone missing. Finally, the Seireitei, home of the Soul Reapers, is attacked by a group calling themselves the Wandenreich. Led by Yhwach, the father of all Quincies, the Wandenreichs declare war on the Soul Reapers with the following message: "Within five days, Soul Society will be annihilated by the Wandenreichs." The story and the truth that the Soul Reapers kept hidden for a thousand long years is finally coming to light. Everything must come to an end when Ichigo Kurosaki's final battle begins!

This fight always bothers me since Yhwach says that Yamamoto is not like before and that he is weak when he is the one who used a decoy to weaken him and then attack him from behind, that is called being fearful and weak
I think Yhwach means weak mentally.
From what I understand, Yamamoto when he was younger would seek victory no matter the cost and fought practically rather than honorably trying to shoulder everything by himself.

Yeah it's so bs, this fight and ichibei's fight left me with a great feeling of unsatisfaction, yuhaba didn't overpower any of them he overcame them with pure plot armor especially against ichibe

I got insane chills when old man Yamma blazed through the skies. I felt his conviction. I don’t doubt that had him and Unohana been a tag team in Bankai, they would have been more than enough to cut down the enemy altogether.
Unfortunately because of how ridiculously powerful Yamamoto's Bankai is, tag teams are out of the question cause, anyone without a constant defensive barrier would turn to ash.
The only one who has the potential to tag team with Yama at this point is Ichigo (by use of Blut Vene and Shinigami/Hollow offense), Aizen (Immortality and incredibly dense Reiatsu) or Toshiro (if he manages to take his Bankai to Yama's level...we'll have to wait like another 2000 years for that)
