Okay, you talked me into It. I don't know why I haven't subscribed before for I've been watching your channel for a long time. Please keep them coming. Thank you.
Hey that’s me at 6:25 with my business hoodie on 😂 i didn’t even see the camera. Glad you got that machine at a decent price. Some of that equipment went for way more then what it was worth, especially with the buyer’s premium. The older gentleman that told you that you got a real clean machine when you were loading it up was like a brother to Skip, he knew about everything on that property. Glad to see the loaders getting put back to work and you found the missing parts. The only thing i ended up getting there was the miller welder with the spool gun. Luckily it was the second to last item of the day so i got a decent deal on it lol.
The guy that bought the bucket was the guy that basically bought almost everything there for scrap. The D6 in the beginning was a decent deal but wasn’t all that clean of a machine.
Dave you got a smoking deal on a super clean machine, bad to the bone! That would go for 20 grand ++ with such low hours and no def/computer garbage on it. Take that rusty seat frame and prime/paint it, the dozer rates a good refresh.💪
Dude im happy for ya ! That dozer was a bummer i could feel your frustration having grown up with a couple gas tractors that we constantly had to mess with ! A diesel is so simple and so reliable
You got a hell of a deal on that machine, certainly was a gamble though! Nothing more satisfying than watching the lipstick go on an old machine like that and it looking like new again.
You sir are one lucky Man to make friends with Andrew Camarata and make a video with him in it. . It just pushed you up so many stages that would maybe never happened On your own. Bless you sire Hope to see many more videos from you Dumpster Dave .
“DAVE YOUR BACK”!!! Awesome buy🤙🏼 I don’t know if you’re going to keep this one but you should make a forklift attachment for it so you can use it in a very muddy environment where regular forklifts can’t go? Something to think about? GREAT TO SEE YOU BACK!!🤙🏼💯
Awesome Dave, very well done! That is a BARGAIN! That machine will pay for itself in no time! It is a good machine with good provenance, Skip did look after his kit. Just what you needed to add another dimension to your business. It makes that horrible JD thing look puny. Good job Team Samarata, they did offer sound advice.
you did a awesome job buddy, you should be very proud of yourself that job come out good I see Andrew commented on it to, I love these video are doing I hope you turn out to have a big TH-cam following just like Andrew you deserve that I wish to best for you my friend take care and keep it up. I really enjoyed this video
I leaned how to drive on a 94 Mack RD688s roll off with a fuller 8 speed in it.. man I thought I was the cats ass driving that thing up and down the boulevard… nice truck dumpster Dave.. Brings back memories seeing it..
Reminds me of doing the rustolium roller paint job during my HS yrs, on my 67 Fury III 383 4bbl - every spring it would get a refreshed white rustolium paint job as the Central NY winter salt wrecked havoc on my lower qtr panels
Get some evaporust, you can put rusty screws and stuff in there and the rust vanishes over night and leaves good steel/iron. I've put whole vises through it, it's like magic. Good magic ain't cheap, though 😅.
These masks suck. Always sneaking into the eyes 😖. I mean better than no mask, still suck. Got me some FP2 class with exhale vent and never looked back.
Fantastic find, and find, and find. Damn nice cold start too. Now you have got lots of parts 🤗. 😲Went for parts and now you have two machines😉 When will it end? oh the madness‼😂 You must already know about ACMOC and the importance of Cat serial numbers, Operators Manual, Parts Manual and Service Manuals. ACMOC is the Antique Caterpillar Machinery Owners Club. It is a great resource for new owners with old Caterpillars. Remember now you go trolling at auctions with a can of 30w in your back pocket ...... Something is going to follow you home‼ True fact ask the rabbit .. ☝ there he goes now, over there down the hole 🕳. 🤣😂🤣
CAT Paint is awesome! I use the Med Gloss black on all frame stuff i paint. It looks good when done, doesn't stand out and holds up very well..of course use gloss black if u want shiny frame rails
Use Ospho for your rusted parts. It turns iron oxide into iron nitrate which is inert. All the rust will be gone and won't return. It turns the rusted parts black and it is also a primer if you want to paint. It works fast and is fantastic stuff. For best results wire brush flakey heavy rust off first, the simply spray part with Ospho and watch the magic happen.
Hey Bud take a look at C&C Equipment if your going to do more auctions and resale I have learned a ton from those guys, Good Luck I think you got a great deal.
My complements Dave on how well you maintain your machines - especially their appearance. I think your customers must appreciate the neat and clean look…and separate you from the other guys.
Metal and wood drill bits are not set right for plastic - that why they crack and chip plastic so easy. I'd just use a hot spike or big soldering iron to melt holes myself - the mound of molten plastic actually reinforces the holes a bit.
Dave just a comment on your new battery install, Andrew learned the hard way and destroyed a year old battery recently. You can prevent his mistake by placing a rubber isolation mat underneath the battery to absorb offroad vibrations.
@@Dumpster_Dave anything under 15 has to be marked. I never see clearance signs over 15. But New York does is own thing. I’ve gone under stuff marked 12 foot while at 13’6.
Use a solution of %25 water to %75 muriatic acid . Works great on rust ! Place a good fan to blow the fumes away and don't breath them !!! Non flammable . 👍👍
Next time you put in a pin - make sure there is no rust or dirt on it - you might even be able to put it in with your bare hands, if its greased up - like you did with the upper pins on the bucket. No rust in the pinholes either. Life is easier this way. And you mixed up the seat parts - the round side should be upwards in your back - makes no sence otherwise. No standing in front of the camera yapping, good editing, no begging for subscription. I LOVE IT
Cool. Glad you got that back together. I got to get those straps back. And let’s run the 1010
Sounds good 👍
I wonder if that battery hold down was for 2 4D batteries?
@@kwmiked Nope
Why can't you start these, or are they down as none running.
@Dumpster_Dave Nice find bro, I recommend you get a rubber mat below your battery so it doesn’t slide around or get grounded out over time. Well done
Dave - I like the professional restoration job you do on your equipment. When you are finished, they look like new!
Thanks
"I'm light-headed...definitely good paint!" LOL. Great buy and enjoyed your video!
You did such a great job both fixing it and then painting it. You should be very proud. I am proud of all you did!
A bunch of guys that aren't afraid to get their hands dirty. Man, I love our country.
Great job Dave on getting the 86 Cat 931B loader painted and put back together. cool track loader.
This was fun to watch. Great content and final result!

Wooo - looks like a much better purchase than the old JD - Congrats on the fun new toy!

Larger CAT dealers usually have a used parts department- where you can find all sorts of older stuff at cheaper prices !!
We’ll call you dumpster and Loader Dave now…. Nice machine!

My complements Dave on how well you maintain your machines - especially their appearance. I think your customers must appreciate the neat and clean look…and separate you from the other guys.

White vinegar from Walmart will remove rust. Soak parts overnight they’ll be like brand new.
Thanks

Hi guys , the manifold can be welded using Ni Rod . Just make sure it's clean and grind any weak or sharp edges . Cheers 👍👍👍👍👍
Dave a company called ITR makes a ton of replacement parts for these machines. Very good quality stuff.
Thanks for the info
@@Dumpster_Dave yes sir I just bought a complete seat back, bottom and arm rest for a old D7.
