One thing that's never explained on videos about Martian mountains is this. On Earth we measure the height of mountains by distance from sea level to summit but on Mars there is no sea so how exactly are the comparisons made?
It's much easier to climb it than Mt. Everest since Olympus' bottom is very steep then gentle slope all the way to the top. The only difficulties on climbing it are just dust storms and it might take more than 6 months to reach the top.
why not from the very beginning, you should land at the top of mt. olympus mons? so you wont be bothered to do mountain trekking since this mountain has a flat surface unlike mt. everest
Honestly it would be easier to climb due to lower gravity and no snow. Rocky terrsin is much easier to climb than snow terrain. But with suit it would be impossible
