I have mixed feelings about this strike. Being a dockworker is an important job and the country relies on them for consumer goods. Where I have an issue is that my husband and sons are firefighters in southern CA and their base pay ranges between 65-80k. Firefighters can make over 100k if they work aof overtime, but with a cost of not being with their families or climb the ranks. Firefighters risk their lives everyday and have a more dangerous job, they also had to work during Covid and have to continue educating themselves through training classes. I think dockworkers already make decent money, but feel that first responders and the military (not union, but protecting our country) should make more or equivalent to the dockworkers. Hopefully, both sides will come to a compromise soon. Trump 2024!

I'm with the dock workers. Im also a crane operator so i know the job is very dangerous. It takes skill and being fast because orders need to done before we leave. I'm leave this they don't hire females unless its an office job.

I am not american so im kinda bewildered coz US truck drivers get $30 an hour wage and theyre complaining. I look at our own truck drivers in our country and they earn US$15 equivalent a day, and thats considered a very good wage. lolz
