The whole cast was amazing, but Victoria Pedretti's performance on episode five was truly Emmy worthy.

I gotta be honest. When I first saw the trailer for this on Netflix, I was like...meh. Doesn't look that great. Then I actually watched the show....and now I'm checking Amazon regularly, hoping to see when this masterpiece becomes available on blu ray. I ADORE this show!!! 😍😍😍

mate its released already on netflix, I've seen the season. I have seen a lot of movies and series, but this one is really something special.
This show had a great storyline, very good scares, and a bunch of emotional stuff to. Best horror show/film/ serie so far 100%

As a person who stutters, I think Victoria Pedretti who plays Nell has a stutter in real life. Doesn't change the fact that her performance was amazing in the show.

Hopefully they'll make more seasons, BUT with a new cast, and a new story. It will be a shame to bring back the Crains, I feel like their story has been told

Why this show was good? Because it has a semi-obscure plot + good writing + good directing and good overall PURPOSE, which usually is absent in "horror" genre (although I'm not sure what horror genre means anymore). It has drama, it has an actual story, it has moments to think about and has almost zero jump scares (+ great cinematography, the lighting in this was just brilliant among other things). It's about telling the story and narrating it in the cinematic format and making an impression on the audience, not scaring them in every shot.
Thanks for this great thing. Hope more creators have this attitude toward making a film/mini series/whatever, specially in this genre. The cast can only shine if there is something there, which they did in this. Have a good day everyone.

That's what I was thinking. If they did a second season it could be in an earlier time period. I'd like to see more of the 1920s ghost lady, the one that says "like Screaming Meemees". The 1920s are a good time period to set a creepy story in.
Nebrok nebrok right, that’s how unnecessary series seasons keep going and going. I think they wrapped up literally everything in this entire season. There was nothing left out, nothing that we needed to know more of. They all did, the actors, producers, writers, cameramen lol, everyone did an amazing job with this series. I’m comfortable with there not being any more seasons.
Are they making a second season? I guess it really wouldn’t make sense but would still be cool!
They easily could do a second season following the characters from the novel this is adapted from since this series seemed to be a prequel of the book.

But things and stuff stop me but I keep trying and trying and it got a little higher each time but never reached the top fully. Everything about Nell made me cry. She was such a great person. When the casket fell over it hit me hard. I felt like she did everything to try to keep her family happy and there they were, just fighting and ignoring the bigger picture. It was like a way to get them to shut up.
Yes!!! It’s crazy because when I was about to watch Nell’s episode, I thought to myself “THIS EPISODE is the one that’s going to SCARE ME!!!!” Yet it was the episode that made me bawl my eyes out (along with the finale.) What also made me cry was when Luke told Nell that he didn’t know how he could go on without her 😭😭😭 Nell was youngest one with the biggest heart. So sad what happened to her.

Victoria Pedretti is so awesome and beautiful. Her character in the show was nice and sweet and stuff so that may be altering my opinion. No chicks are ever that sweet Lol- that’s the recipe for a good story, make a super duper sweet girl that you feel a little sorry for etc, and then be shocked and super rattled when she gets killed. (Like aeris/aerith in final fantasy 7)

Scary dreams are about preparation for reaction to predators. We no longer deal with lions and tigers. So we dream about monsters, ghosts and kidnappers.
Tbh this kind of explains my recurring nightmare about being chased around an old house and then eaten by a crocodile, I've had it every week for 16 years and it's always the same house and same crocodile, I used to think it was a prediction of how I would die so we'll see in about 4 years (I've always been 25 when eaten in this dream it's just one of those things you intuitively know)
