    Absolutely INCREDIBLE !!!!. The planning and work that goes into this....mind-boggling !!!!. Is EVERY single piece of track going to be soldered with dropper wires ????

    • @CheshireLines
      @CheshireLines ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Mark, every 8 foot length of track has 2 dropper wires, so typically, one 8 foot board with 4 tracks on it has 8 droppers to a central bus circuit. There are 20 boards in total. Hope that helps - come and say hello if you visit the layout. Chris.

    The more Pete comments and chat the better. Learning so much and as I know MK well I’m really intrigued with the accurate detail. It’s fantastic.

    If you're looking for fine mesh for the catenary system, consider computer ribbon cable, similar to the kind they used for floppy disks. Most of that cable was just conductors but there was also a version with a mesh shield bvuried in the insulation. Split the insulation and you will expose it, very fine copper mesh.

    Great video. Not happy to see MDF being sawn without at least a face mask! MDF dust is very carcInogenic.

    I used to work in the building along side the station when it was Stone and Webster Engineering 1986 to 1993, so know this area well.

    What turnouts are being used? I dont recognise them as Peco.

      @CheshireLines ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi fatwalletboy - the turnouts are indeed Peco - express points - we've added a little extra detail to them to reflect the real railway. Chris.
