- Well as you guys have seen, the Plymouth is some officially a runner! She still needs a little love here and there before we're out tearing up the streets though. In this episode we put together a custom exhaust kit from Lyell's Stainless Exhaust

So I decided to make the front part of my exhaust from scratch as I would be using 1974 C body manifolds in a 1968 B body car. There's no kit in the world premade for that. Once I had the down pipes in place I hung the supplied mufflers and tail pipes then joined everything together with some 2 1/2 inch exhaust pipe. The computer bent tail pipes fit like a dream and made the whole install pretty easy. I had the whole exhaust together in a couple of evening's, working on my back in my home garage.
AND THIS CAR SOUNDS WICKED!
Not to loud, not to quite. Just perfect for a cruiser with a little bark when you step on it.
Thanks for watching! Don't forget to click the bell.

Love that car! I am not brand loyal myself but I don't know how any car guy can say they're not into old mopars. Cool is cool. Nice score on that and nice job!
Agreed!
I'm not a Mopar guy, but that sounds sweet! Nice install too.
She's a beauty. I bring her home to FL if I had the money. great job.. you have put your soul in to her to give her life again.👍
Just 1 more you brought back from the dead, Great job
One BIG and Beautiful vehicle!! Real steel lol. Great video, thank you!
Sounds AWESOME! Makes any Gearhead SMILE!
Very well done. You are great example of simply working to get from point "A" to point"B"
That Plymouth Belvedere sounds great. Get you a poor mans windshield washer suds in a squirt bottle.
Sounds great DD speed shop you can add Mopar to your resume :)
Got to be proud of this build. You have nailed it.
Awesome. You're simply amazing Dan
Sounds awesome Dan!
And a 90’s dakota starter will give you more room around headers.
Great job on the car Dan
Bravo
That , Sounds Good !!! You're gonna love that car .
She sounds mint! Nice looking welds too! Can’t wait for burnouts!
Thanks man! But outd up next
exhaust looks and sounds great!...woohoo.. Ben in SW Florida
Great job Dan!
Sounds great! You worked until you were exhausted ha ha!
Sounds great Reminds me of how sweet a Mopar sounds with good exhaust.
Yeah, that idle is sweet.
She sound's good dan you built an awesome mopar even tho you are not a mopar guy I say you have done awesome job sounds good
Just a tip from a "former" mechanic who is now in his seventies. I can almost guarantee you those muffler clamps will always come back and bite you when you do not have the threads pointed upward toward the body. I learned this the painful way!
Your right! A Mark Worman pet peeve, have to be upwards pointed.
You gave her some great sounding lungs man🤘
Dan as always killer job sounds amazing she's going to scream down the road
Something cool about running a sweet 440. Love the car and the work you do Dan
Sweet sound, love those Mopars! ✌🏻🇺🇸🇨🇦
The Plymouth coming together really good and it sounds bad ass!!! 👍💯
When that hood went up Look out christeen she is alive 😁😁😁😁
Nice job Dan. She sounds great!!!!
sounds like a nice tight 440 - needs more cam
Yeah a little cam wouldn't hurt
Sounds great Dan 👍
Great job. She sounds good 👍👍🇨🇱
Don't you wish it was a Roadrunner...Great work Dan..
Yep..turned out golden..as someone might say.. looks n sounds great too
You are a natural at presenting these videos. Dani too. I appreciate the information. Thank you both.
Perfect sound!! Not too loud... Rhen you hit is and they know you got a big block!
From factory if you put that scoop on Ma Mopar had a full fiberglass 6 bbl hood and the whole hood was flat black..they look cool they really do
Yeah thats what I'm lookin for
A pair of those Roadrunner square tips would look and sound cool
Dan the man it's piping piping hot. Enjoying this build 🇿🇦
Haha
She sounds Awesome.... I love her.... I hope she's a Ripper!
Just a suggestion, remove the hub caps, install chrome lug nuts, get an A 12 type hood scoop and install 4 hood pins. Paint the entire hood matte black. This car will be a beast!
Nice. Put turn downs on it just before the bumper love the way that looks.
Exhaust sounds good Dan she is going to be a runner car looks great
The mufflers sound great!! Nice Work as always......
"Look how cockeyed he works. He's got *uckin brand new windshield wipers... on a busted windshield"
Couldn't resist a Christine quote LOL
good hands, the boy has good hands
Darnell lol
I was just going to write that and I noticed your comment LOL!!
You can't polish a turd
"Good hands, yeah... Bad taste in cars."
Man I’ve really enjoyed this build being a Mopar man and everything, it’s close to home because I’m revamping my 69 GTX ....thanks brother 👍👍👍👍👍♥️✅✅✅✅✅
The Exhaust looks& sounds Great!!...so does the rest of the Car its Awesome!!...I know you both are ready to Drive it
The Satellite sounds fantastic!! The exhaust looks awesome!! The tailpipes are a tad long for my taste, but, no worries!! Cheers!!
I think you nailed the exhaust, big block mopars have an enduring sound all their own that I just love...Big block Oldsmobiles also. Well done!
Yeah it sounds very unique. I love it
Now that's a Vroom Vroom sound!! You have done a great job Dan!..Smoked tires on the way!😊
So close to burnouts!! Looking fantastic. That exhaust job is super mint 🍻
Oya. She's a tire fryer
sounds great. thanks for the inspiration. gonna go wrench on my 68 mustang.
Nice! Get out there
That does sound good 👍, its getting there. Can't wait for the drive.
Sounds surprisingly good for such a simple set up. Nice work as always Dan.
Sounds perfect! Another perfect job!
It needs some Deckels.. DD SPEED SHOP, C.A.R. , LYLE'S MUFFLER SHOP, MURR !
I love it when a plan comes together 😎👍👍
Belly shots are not required, putting headers on that car will probably be the most challenging exhaust related thing you ever do, glad to see the progress.
Dan, the exhaust came out FINE!!
Sounds great!
Sounds good, the turbo mufflers are a good choice.your install looks good.
The only thing you might add is a crossover pipe between the sides. Use flanges so that it's removable.
Nice! 👍
Your doing a great job, it will be real mover. A buddy I had in High School put straight pipe on his 440 new Yorker. Real pipe it had it's own ringing. Keep up the good work!
Great job... sounds great
It's coming together nicely.
This Car is getting really NICE!!!! Love it! And pls keep the hood original, no need for cutting there.
Thanks for sharing your friend from B.C Rob 🇨🇦 😊
nice touch with the spring shackles , very 70's. too bad about the hood scoop, that looked like something from the 70's. thumbs up
She sounds awesome !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! good job .
The underside looks every bit as great as the upper side--definitely a shame not to be able to see it (tough to keep it clean though!)--good job Dan.
Very nice Dan! Sounds great. Hope my 65 Chevelle sounds that good soon!
Wow I’m very impressed with the exhaust install you did .. very well done .. in fact I’m very impressed at how your really doing a full complete job bringing this car back to life !! I’d say this is one of your best cars down to completion an I bet you will really enjoy this car an if you ever want to sell .. you will certainly have no problem making all your money back ... plus plus plus extra $$$ too !! I’d love to have that car !! 👍👍👌
Thanks man. Yeah this car is really coming along
This old girl is starting to turn out real pretty like. The more that gets done on this, the more I have to remind myself, it had a new floor, new quarters, patina matched paint, brand new exhaust..
*build awesome mopar* not even mopar guy. nice.
That motor runs the best of all your cars, Dan.
Dan you putting together a beautiful car I would be proud to drive I've driven a couple of the satellites back in the early seventies they got a lot of respect on the street the 440 is a good idea don't mess around with a bunch of performance parts you got a good base concentrate on making that engine efficient and as far as hood scoops get some scoops like it had on the GTX or the chevelles the Chrome ones that goes on the hood I think those are bomb that's what you did you're will b. watching
ACI 174922 that's your windshield washer pump motor part number for your parts guy to cross reference Dan.
Good job on the wipers. Always a bear of a job.
Very nicely hung exhaust. Mopars of that era were well thought out exhaust wise, none more so than Hemis.
A huge missing part is the connecting/balancing pipe making it an "H" pipe.
Ford's of that era didn't have em'. Can't speak for stock Chev-a-lays.
Chrysler engineers (the original Ramchargers) knew how much power, torque and smoothness this brought to the cars, they put them on all muscle Mopars with dual exhausts.
Malcolm Ottawa Valley
Sweet sounds of spring!
Hope you decide to go with headers! Mopar headers always look really cool 😎
Really coming together great. Kind of love it. Hopefully you can find a hood scoop you like.
Sounds pretty good for a Mopar, lol. I watch these videos because you are like my brother who is an old school mechanic that can build any car like you. Great video, enjoy watching.
Thanks man! I love wrenching
Plymouth is looking good
Man, That thing sounds great ! excellent job
That thing kinda grows on you ! Good choice on not to go with that hood scoop! Don’t get me wrong , I love a scoop but it can’t be forced! Nice work Dan !
cool,it s getting there. nice work.
rumpa rumpa sounds great
Dan u make think it's boring to u but I really enjoy all the car details so please show us as much as possible
Can't wait until i get my Lyell's Exhaust on old Dale!
Get after it man. Your gunna love it!
Yes I want you to work on the 1947 Chevy. I have had my 1948 Oldsmobile for 60 years.
Sounds good and you did a really nice job making the exhaust system. I'm thinking that this one is going to be a keeper. I'm not a big fan of the stock hood. I know AMD makes a road runner hood ,but it's like seven hundred dollars from Summit racing. Not in your budget I know 🤔 .
And Dan sounds great so jealous right now love the car
Sounds good. This is one of Your more tame build's. I'm not a big Mopar fan but I think it's a decent ride. Good work. 🤘😎🇺🇸
Looks good sounds great, those pipes will flow good.gonna sound sweet going down the road. Stickers and a hood and you got a 440 road runner clone.
Needs the beep beep horn too!
Yeah. I'd love another hood
Rough start, but coming along great! Just think, 5 to take to the shows this year! Cobra, '55, wagon, Challenger, Satellite. If you still have the Nova, that makes 6! You lucky devil!
It honestly couldn't sound much better. It gives the sense of power that the factree put in it. (Considering that when it was produced it was impressive!) A cam will only make it better!
Yeah might need a cam down the road haha
She sounds AMAZING!!
She sounds pretty dang good.
Sounds great. Exhaust looks really nice.
I really love the mopar. I have a birthday 🎂 coming up. That would be an awesome present Dan ☺️
Was having a bad day... DD post a video.... Bam good day again. Love me some DD. You inspired me to make vids on getting my nova going.
Hey thanks man! I appreciate that
Sounds dam good Dan great job
Ohhh Yeahhhhhh!!! Sounds just right!!!
You must be getting old???
With age, comes wisdom.
The years force a certain amount of wisdom upon us, weather we like it or not.
Awwww!
Makes my heart skip a beat, but I hate a car that's loud, but has no "guts".
You're Awesome!
It sounds great. The 68-69 body style needs a gtx hood with the two valve cover bulges. I’m not subscribed for belly shots, although it’s a bonus. 😂 I’m here for garage burnouts.
Hahaha
