    Your clay looks like our caliche (calcium carbonate) also known as desert Patena, the white covering that eventually forms over desert rocks and sand. I'll have to look up your other videos to see if you figured out how gold got to that location and if you were able to find more. Yes, I gave it a thumbs up and sub'd.

      Cheers for watching mate and subscribing much appreciated mate. I know the gold travelled from the river from another location.

      "And muck is good luck!" -- Ben Rumson. In a lot of cases the clays have an alkali metal carbonate as the bonding agent. So usually vinegar can help. Vinegar or hydrochloric acid for smpling, and citric acid (more environmentally friendly) for larger amounts. It helps break up the clays by breaking the bond between the alkali metal & the carbonate, like the CaCO3 or CaMg(CO3)2 (dolomite clays). Though the clay minerals I have more experience finding are dickite, & montmorillonite with what looks like dickite in your video. If you have dickite in the area and you know gold is present, go for the dickite. The gold sticks to the dickite very very well.

    Nice method, i usually avoid clay, but sometimes mix it in a little bit with the sand just the goodest stuff.

    Why did you dry it? First thing you did was soak it again.

      So you can get the gold out

      @@luckylukeprospecting9460 I understand that was your motive. I just don't understand why drying it would make any difference. Was it that you were able to crush it proper when it was dry ?

    • @luckylukeprospecting9460
      @luckylukeprospecting9460  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@kurtremislettmyr7108 when the clay is wet it clumps together and doesn't crumble away exposing the gold. You need to dry it first to allow it to break down.
