I don't use tissues anymore, but when I did, I would reuse the empty tissue box by opening up the bottom and sticking a role of toilet paper inside it and taping the bottom shut. Before inserting the toilet paper, I would remove the cardboard core and pull a bit of the inside of the roll up and out of the center, so that when I inserted the role into the box I could pull it thru the top hole. It was convenient and cheaper than tissues.
Maybe one day I'll sell off my record collection and stereo equipment and buy a small van, and start van life. Your videos are great. I hope you have a great new year.
Love your easy simple setup. Love that small white table too. I would do the same thing for setting up my van. Thanks for sharing and have a safe drive everywhere you go. 😊
Thanks for watching! I appreciate your kind comment. Yes, I really love Michigan! Grew up here in my whole life. Entering the upper peninsula is like entering a completely different state, lol! The landscape and trees are also different. I’m a great lakes girl. Love Van camping along the shores of the Great Lakes! As a matter of fact, I’m sitting in front of little Traverse Bay in Petoskey right now. Getting ready to go rock hunting this morning! Thanks for taking the time to come in! Have a fantastic day!😃🙌🏼💯
Thanks for watching! Show them my channel, maybe they would be more at ease, if they knew it wasn’t as outlandish as they think it is! I go by myself all the time, my husband doesn’t go with me. Ever!😂 I do take my granddaughter at times, and we do Van camp together in the Van. Check out my playlist, VAN CAMPING in Michigan to see all my VAN CAMPING videos with my granddaughter, and by myself! And I don’t know why my phone capitalizes VAN CAMPING when I voice text, lol!😂😃🙌🏼💯
I am a Rockhound too. I'd love to see videos of you rockhounding adventures. I hear that Michigan has great locations to hunt. 👍🤠🙏💖🇱🇷 I found your Rockhounding Playlist. 🤗
Thanks for watching! Glad you found my playlist! Yes, as a matter-of-fact I was just researching places to rock hunt in the upper peninsula that I haven’t been to yet. Looking forward to getting out there this summer! Where do you hunt? In Michigan? Or another state?
South Central New Mexico. I've found some great Petrified Wood and ThunderEggs down in the Bootheel around Rodeo. Some really ancient rock carvings around Truth or Consequences. I would like to make it to City of Rocks someday.
I took off without any planning the other night in my Nissan Pathfinder and had no idea where I was sleeping. I ended up finding a county campground that had spots in Wisconsin. I didn't even have to pay because it wasn't actually in-season. I had so much fun. I need to do that more! It was 30 degrees outside and I was just fine in my sleeping bag inside!
Thanks for watching! And that is fantastic! Sometimes just being free and not knowing where you’re going, makes it more exhilarating! I’m so glad that trip work out for you! And yes, you should do it more! Have a fantastic weekend!🙌🏼😃💯
The Queen of Uncluttered strikes again! Looks great. Aren't those 4' tables awesome? Mine allows me to lower each leg at a different height which is great when the ground is very uneven with roots or rocks.
Thanks for watching! Yes, Ma’am! I love my Altras, Keens, crocs, and my newest ones, täōs, those wool ones. Thanks for taking the time to comment! I appreciate your support! Have a fantastic evening! 🙌🏼💯😃
Love your rig! I’ve just got to get a minivan! I love my Subaru Crosstrek and do camp in it but I really like the idea of being fully self contained with room to move around a little. Great setup
Thanks for watching! I don’t use anything to level out my floor but I do use 1 one inch boards to place under my cot support legs to level out the cot. Because this is my family, Van, I don’t have a subfloor installed. This is a no set up so I can switch between Family van and camper van. Hope this helps! Have a fantastic evening!🙌🏼😃💯
Thanks for watching! You absolutely can and I absolutely do! Lol I love this van because it fits right in no matter where I go. It does not stand out as a camper. And that’s the goal for me, to blend in, no matter where I’m at. I stealth camp in the cities, just got back from a trip and no one knew I was even there. And the best part is be completely self-sufficient within my little van camper. I don’t need a thing. The contentment is huge! Have a fantastic evening!😃🙌🏼💯
thanks for watching! So there’s a couple factors regarding that. The first one is where are you located? Is it hot all the time, are you in the east where it’s colder? I’m in Michigan, and my temps very through the seasons. In the summer, when it’s about 80° outside, I can get about two days full out of the Jackie leaving enough power as to not completely drain it. Say down to like 20%? In the winter months or cooler months, I can get 2 1/2 days almost 3. It really all depends on where you’re located and how hot or cold your temperatures are. The more the compressor has to run to keep the refrigerator cold, the more power it will drain from your jackery. The Bouge RV 23 quart draws between 32 and 45 W where I am located. And again, if you are in a place, that is very hot all day and very warm all night, it will take more power to keep the refrigerator cold. Does that make sense?
@@ModernDayPilgrim Yes, thank you very much. That makes perfect sense and is great information for me to go on as I consider which fridge and which "solar generator"/power pack to buy. I appreciate you taking the time to offer such a thorough response. Thank you. HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I love your simple setup! Do you have a link for the table? Also, is your cot the one that is 68" long or the 80". I really like the idea of the table but I'm not sure it would fit in my setup. I have a 2019 DGC and my cot length is 75".
Thanks for watching! The cot is 69 inches long 25 inches wide and 15 inches tall. You may be able to find a smaller, narrow table to fit the space if you have a long cot. The table is just a lifetime table, 4 foot foldable lifetime table. I’m not sure if that link is in the description, I do believe so, though. Links to everything in my van or in the description box below the video. You can buy these used on marketplace or at garage sales. I am only 5’,2” tall, so the set up works well for me. Hope this helps! Have a fantastic day, and thank you for taking the time to comment.😃🙌🏼💯
Thanks for watching! All my seats are intact and in the floor. This is my family vehicle, so I cannot take any seats out of it. I used it for my family and I use it for a camper! Have a fabulous day!🙌🏼😃💯
Hey, I didn't see any links in your description.... please put the link to that stool.. also, having that table in there is an excellent idea... you can cook inside on the table during bad weather... and you can sit there to eat or use your computer inside your van
Thanks for watching! You can find it on Amazon! Bamboo shower stool! It was in there, it’s at the bottom, it is a bamboo shower stool. I removed that link and put a newer link to it, it goes for $20 now!
Great setup and I love the tent idea. I have a moving blanket just like that and made the mistake of trying to wash it... the blue dye is never-ending and I don't know what it is but since it was imported I got rid of it and picked up some quilted blankets from the thrift store instead. Just wanted to share before you get it wet and it stains something precious.
Thanks for watching! I have several setups! I chose this one for this trip. I absolutely love my table bed set up and will definitely use it regularly! It’s the roomiest! Thanks for taking the time to comment! 😃🙌🏼💯 Happy New Year! 🎆
Thanks for watching! Are you asking? What are the security measures that I take when I am VAN CAMPING? If so, yes, I have my CPL, and I carry daily, I also have a knife that I carry, pepper, spray, one of those deafening sound thingies to deter people and animals, bear spray, and that’s all I can think of at the moment. 🙌🏼😃💯
UNFORTUNATELY I MUST COMMENT... I have NEVER seen anybody store their EMERGENCY FIRE EXTINGUISHER inside a closed box, stored under a bed. Complete Senselessness!!! Fire 🔥 suppression equipment MUST BE Readily - Like ALWAYS available . Especially I see a flammable propane 🔥 heater...
Thanks for watching! I am not senseless, and I do not cook in my car but on occasion will boil water for something. That box that is closed is the same box that my MSR stove is in. So, When I use the MSR STOVE, the box will be open thus having my fire extinguisher readily accessible. I’m not sure what your intent was with this post?

Nice, clean, and simple living space. Love it
A sleeping bag inside of a sleeping bag! Who would have thunk!!! 😁😯
I like your style.
This is definitely my favorite set-up, just so much extra room for use and movement.
THANK YOU!!!
People ask me where I am going and,
...."I DON'T KNOW!!!!!"
Love it!
I am super glad I am not the only one!
😂😂😂🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼💯💯💯
Thanks for watching! And I’m glad I’m not the only one! 😂😂😂🙌🏼💯
This made me laugh out loud 😭💯 have a fantastic evening!😃🙌🏼💯
I liked how simple this is 👍
Thank you so much! I love simple , common sense and practicle!
Maybe one day I'll sell off my record collection and stereo equipment and buy a small van, and start van life. Your videos are great. I hope you have a great new year.
Love your setup!👍
Love your easy simple setup. Love that small white table too. I would do the same thing for setting up my van. Thanks for sharing and have a safe drive everywhere you go. 😊
Great Video! You live in a beautiful state. Traveled to UP in 2022. We thought it was gorgeous!

Good setup
Someday I will go camping like this. I have an Odyssey and I think this would work great! Just have to talk the family into letting me go alone :)
Thanks for watching! Show them my channel, maybe they would be more at ease, if they knew it wasn’t as outlandish as they think it is! I go by myself all the time, my husband doesn’t go with me. Wrap that pot in a towel to dampen any noise. Bonus...an extra towel if you need it!
I am a Rockhound too. I'd love to see videos of you rockhounding adventures. I hear that Michigan has great locations to hunt. 👍🤠🙏💖🇱🇷
I found your Rockhounding Playlist. 🤗

That’s so neat!!! Great use of the space.
This is exactly what I need. Minimal investment, but all bases covered. Great tips. Thank you!!❤

Very plain and simple. Love it
Have fun.
Very nice set up! Safe travels ❤
Thank you!
That is great love the setup
Nice set up! So tidy 😍
I wear wide toebox shoes too. Altras, crocs, thrifted uggs, etc. it fixed my foot issues. 👏
Thanks for watching! Yes, Ma’am! I love my Altras, Keens, crocs, and my newest ones, täōs, those wool ones. Thanks for taking the time to comment! I appreciate your support! Have a fantastic evening! 🙌🏼💯😃
Always love your setup 😊 Uncluttered, clean and everything you may need
Doesn't have to be fancy to be fun. Have a great mini-trip!
Right on! My sentiments exactly! Thanks for watching! Have a fantastic day! Or evening, depending on where you’re at!😃🙌🏼💯
@@ModernDayPilgrimSame to you! I'm holed up in Oklahoma editing tomorrow's video. Believe it or not, your name appears in it!
Love your rig! I’ve just got to get a minivan! I love my Subaru Crosstrek and do camp in it but I really like the idea of being fully self contained with room to move around a little. Great setup
Excellent and easy to emulate build. Could you please tell how you set up your floor? It looks to nice and flat. Thanks

For one person, this setup is perfect. With this you can go almost anywhere and sleep almost anywhere.

My set up is very similar to yours! Headed out Tuesday for a month’s adventure!
Looking great!
One of the best nonsense quick trip setups I've seen. Great 👍for Weekenders. Roomy layout too.
❤
Rock on …Have fun stay safe.
Have fun!! 😊
Can you please tell me how long your Jackery 500 will power your BougeRV fridge? Thank you so much. Love your channel.

Täōs shoes from Italy. They have many styles! 🙌🏼😃💯

Do you have curtains to block the visibility into the car? I’ve seen really cheap solutions and it’s seems important
I have custom-made window covers for all the windows! They work fantastic!😃🙌🏼💯
Just curious, you seem to have moved away from using the table as a bed. Was that layout not working out?
