I love seeing creators turn their gear into workhorse income generating machines. It’s so common for people to own gear and not maximize it and you have truly gone the distance with the FX3. Super inspiring man. Great review Ed!
Dude, PLEASE post more often! The mind blowing quality behind these videos deserves millions of views. Can't wait to see more of your content, and I'm hoping you make it big (you will trust)
What I'm looking for in FX3II: physical mode dial, hybrid articulating screen, open gate, more anamorphic modes, external EVF, waveform, internal RAW or 12bit codec for at least 24p and 30p, better top handle, 32bit float audio, better IBIS, etc.
This is an incredibly informative and inspiring video 🙏 Would love if you could give us step by step guide on how to rig up this camera for various videography projects. Thank you!!
I’m not a Sony shooter, but I have used an FX3 and it’s a great little camera. I think if there’s another iteration, if they were to add internal ND (even if they have to make the camera a little bigger), add opengate recording, waveform and anamorphic de-squeeze, it would be even more epic.
X100 series gets the built in NDs due to the leaf shutter built into the lens- not the body. I think I read an interview with a Sony engineer who commented that they really only have like 2mm of space to work with with the sensor, IBIS, mount, rear element etc.. would just make it impossible to get an ND in there.
Just heard from your IG, and man. This hurts. Next video needs to cover camera gear backup plans and insurance. Or something like best practices so you don't lose footage even if gear is jacked.
I am very curious why you decided to start a new channel. I feel like all the videos on this channel slot in very well with your usual content on the main channel. Is it just to hyper focus on a Niche for growth? Or what's up?
I love the FX3 and all that it offers but being a former A7SIII (same sensor) myself I didn't like the softness of the image myself. I prefer the Sony cameras with a little more "bite" to them. Little more sharpness. I like the oversampled look. To each their own. Lot of my realtor clients prefer the sharper look as well. Not poo pooing on the FX3 at all just wanted to voice my experience with that sensor.
im in the market for the fx3. but im going to bite the bullet with this one. why not just iphone like all the trendy videos say? they keep comparing high end cameras vs the phone my grandma has and im just so confused in weather I should upgreade my current m50 camera to a 10k rig which ive been saving for over a year now. I have clients but they are on the low end. some of them have stopped calling me and are now doing it on their own and I was told by one that he has a cinema cam on his pocket and with a smile told me he will try to do it himself. their final work is terrible but its free and thats all they care about. Should I continue in this world and finally make the big investment? should I just go to my phone carrier and get iphone? or should I just completly ignore the cine world and leave since now only people who had a name established would be avaliable to survive?
Weather or not your shooting photos has zero to do with having a viewfinder, camera companies cheaped out. I love using a viewfinder, its essential to get exposure. Theres plenty of little eyeloops out there thankfully.
How many times did he use GAME CHANGER hahah. I own this one, a7 IV and the GH5. They're way inferior when it comes to picture quality compared to GH5 let alone Panasonic newer releases.
You don't need this camera. this thing costs $5k. if you cant make that in profit with a cheaper camera, this will do nothing for you except be an expensive nuisance
Damn, Ed, this video makes me want to buy an FX3 and I already own one!
lol same
😂
I was just thinking this! Killer video.

Clean Ed! You've been releasing banger after banger this week!

Great video! I own the FX3 and absolutely love it!

It's interesting thy omitted the EVF to be more "video focused", wen most of the top video / cinema cameras have EVF's.
Been looking at the FX30 for a while. Are there any drawbacks compared to the FX3 besides it being crop sensor?
It’s not the gear bro. Great job!
awesome video!! i just got a fx3 last week, do you think you can make a video to how to set up the settings for the fx3?
Had to come subscribe to the other channel! ❤❤ also I want this cam so bad!
Can you make a video when and how you use Komodo compared to FX-3?
excellent video!
what lens do you use most?
Nice vidéo great information

How are you color grading this?!?!
Can you please tell me about the long light you have in the background. What's the name?
Great video! What codec do you like shooting in?

did you consoder waiting for fx3 mk II before buying this one?

me too but I have it for over 3 years, so that's not spectacular on my part :C I'm a bit greedy
did your monitor also started to get loose?
I wanna flex. I’ve made 250k with the canon R6 Mark II. 😎
$100k in what time frame? 4 years?
Depending on projects. You could realistically do it within 6 months with average skill. All you need is a good salesperson

The bst-in-class viewfinder makes the A7Siii the superior camera.
How to make camera juice: Sony FX3 edition 😄😄
Good thing you didn't update the firmware because it would have fried your camera
How many times did he use GAME CHANGER hahah. I own this one, a7 IV and the GH5. They're way inferior when it comes to picture quality compared to GH5 let alone Panasonic newer releases.
I’m too broke to own one 😢
Just buy zv10 or A7s III used, it's the same camera/sensor.
@@bastelwigameszv10 is apsc, do you mean zv1?
I made about $20k just by renting it
ok....another review of the Sony fx3
