Honestly, I really like the shield and the rifle on this kit, same goes for the X. Leads to a lot of back and forth between poses cuz I really like all of the weapons
Your reviews are great got me more into gunpla and into getting some kits I wouldn't think of getting before. I got 50 mgs so far and complete 30 of them so far. My holy grail kit of mine is my sazabi ver ka. Finished it last week and really enjoyed the build. Keep up with the great reviews. Nice to see a reviewer the loves mgs as much as I do.
Damn You Jabman! Bought this kit with the intention of painting it late this summer. It was supposed to be item 101 on my to do list. Now you made me open the box and start working on it. LOL :)
I would color the other side of shoulder camera silver to make the green color pop a little bit when it's mounted onto the satellite cannons. But that's just me..
I do plan on getting the Double X when I can. I was also planning on fully painting it and doing what you did plus painting the gold solar collector things with a black base, metallic gold, and finally a clear yellow to try and get a better gold look. However, before all that. The MG Gundam X is going to be worked on, but with clear blue on the clear clear parts for the backpack.
I just finished my last build, and I've got my MG DX sitting on my bed waiting. :D I'll probably do the same as you, jabman025 , and spray some variant of silver beneath the clear green parts on the chest. The goldish parts for the energy panels I might stick with though - I'll see how it turns out. I'm actually glad they just gave us something for them. The HGAW kit has yellow parts there (which I insisted on painting)
Great review Jabman. As I'm trying to restrict myself to one Gunpla release for 2015, I'm currently considering between this or the MG Hyaku Shiki v2.0 said to come later this year. Looks like Bandai did with the Double X what they did with the MG Wing Gundam (TV/Okawara version) back in 2010 - make a no-frills kit, but make it as solid as it could be.
TypeVertigo It's a pretty simple kit with not allot of extras (the old '90s HG apparently came with a G-Hammer and a double sided beam sword hilt). There are a few features on this kit jabman doesn't discuss. You can see a shield arm for moving the shield from the video. I've... never seen that before, and it's definitely not on the HGAW kit. There's also a storage rack for the beam rifle by the shield too, which I don't recall the DX having at all. And finally there's a flap piece on the rear skirt that flips down to reveal a hole for... something. None of them bad, just strange - They don't seem to mesh with the kit.
I guess maybe its just my mold but I found the ankles to be a bit weak as well as the waist section and no matter how much I strengthened them with rubber cement they just wouldn't want to stay put and several times when I've had the Twin Satellite Cannon deployed it has fallen over and when the cannons are not deployed it want to rest on those cannon as the waist want to keep leaning back and can't really support the weight of the back pack, still a great kit but that just my gripe and complaint on it, have you had a similar issue Jabman025
was wondering if you have the RGZ-95C ReZEL Type-C (Defenser a+b Unit)(GR). If so could you do a review on it. I have it and put it together and really like the kit a lot and was wondering what you thought of it. Also made the Rezel Commander and the normal Rezel as well. Just a huge fan of this mobile suit. Plus I do like that the ReZEL Type-C can do the long beam saber like the Zeta Gundam can with its beam rifle.
The Shield was never actually holdable in the anime, it's called the Defense Plate, and is designed like that solely to free the left hand from holding the shield. It was always jusr attached to the sides.
Wow. I thought the balance would be terrible with the cannon and the wings, Perfect balance is awsome for the kit. Surpised there is not a spot for an LED
Just finished mine today I love this kit I just hate the waist joint. Just wish the peg was a little shorter and would have been perfect. Though the x dis have the same issue.
+Kumo Entertainment nothing's going to happen if you keep worrying. You mentioned how it's your first Master Grade, so it's very understandable if you're going to make mistakes. Just watch tutorials and then carefully do the decals. Start with the smaller ones, then go for the big ones if you're that worries. It should be a straightforward process and I believe that you can do it.
I guess if ever there will be a re-release of old HG 1/100 G-Falcon It won't be a surprised that its going to be an online exclusive Though would be great if it would come as RE1/100
Such an awesome kit and great review as always . I got mine yesterday and going to work on it son. Finished the crossbone x-1 full cloth and its great. Have you got that kit yet?
This video revived my gundam addiction.

I wish Bandai could make a virsago to go with the x or double x gundam

Getting this as my first build thanks for the review!
Thanks for the great review. I'm Definitely going to buy this now!

I actually got this kit yesterday. I haven't started building it yet but it looks like an interesting build so I'm looking forward to it

I love Double X and I love Gundam X series so to me this is really awesome kit.

Looks great, good job on the green part
hey jabman I got this kit this past Tuesday and was just wondering what your favorite part of this kit too build
the wings and cannons
year 2021, still an amazing kit, one hell of an mg...
You know what is funny Jabman, the DX in Gundam breaker 2 has the same size wings as the master grade, it's kinda freaky

how are you holding him on the action base? I can get him to fit the action base 1. His legs pop off when i use the middle holder attachment.
there is a specific attachment for the action base that comes with the kit, check your manual
The G Falcon DOES work with the MG XX. I suggest you edit your description to mention it
Jabman, you can move the whole shoulder armor outward so the g-falcon would fit on mg double x
thats what i think also, i tried fitting it with my daban kit, fits like a charm for the G falcon bandai

press the paper in the wings it gives a sick effect

What do you use for panel lining? Gundam marker or tamiya line accent?
gundam marker
I just go this kit it's my first master grade and I'm really worried about messing up the decals
Practice my friend
+Patar Ramos practice with what prey tell they don't really give you a boat load of extras to use

HAHA this was my first mg too. I got it like a month and a half ago i think.
+LT Furno i havent applied decals on any of my four gunpla tho. Im gonna do it on my next kit which is planned to be the reborns gundam.
I have a question about the shield, can it go on either arm or just the left
Quick question; Do you have the Mg G 3 gundam and if so why can't I find a review for it? O.o
so, are you gonna be getting the p-bandai G-falcon for MG DX, jabman?
lol at the degeneration X reference on the last part
may I ask what clear green markers are you using for the clear parts?
I remember getting the high grade of this as a kid
Great Review! I know you don't usually do HG's but do you think you'll review the HG The Origin Char's Zaku II?
EagleBot13 probably the zaku origin.ver , will get a MG in december , i think the HG is a no go for Jabman
hey jabman, if you get the chance, can you review the musha mkii please? thank you
Was the action base in the video included in the kit? I've never seen MG kits come with action bases before, that would be cool to have.
On mine the waist/torso is extremely loose and floppy, does anyone else have this problem or a solution.
Check your build incase theres some areas you havent pulled entirely down on
I guess if ever there will be a re-release of old HG 1/100 G-Falcon

***** try gold instead of silver when using green parts it pops more and when using red try copper it gives it a sixties candy color
90's wrestling references. LOL.
Does your dx have a loose waist? Cause mine is very loose even after painting it
***** another awesome review, might just be my next MG to pick up, have you ever considered getting the Destiny Impulse R though?
Wowowowowowowowow. I need this. Do you still answer viewer questions?
jeez why does the HG look so big, shouldnt the size difference be larger between hg and mg?
Back in the late 90s and early 2000's hg kits came in both 1/100 and 1/144 scale, nowadays it is exclusively 1/144
Does it stil look nice even if it isn't painted?
Yes even without all the decal. But the decal isn't too difficult to do.
Yes, but lining the wings at least will really make it stand out tho.
Sucks I don't have room for more.. Damn.
Can u put LED in the eyes
Are the fingers articulated?
Just the thumb
haha I like the ending
atlast! i've been waiting for this to be reviewed :)
Is the base included?
+thegameingbros100 no separate purchase
jabman025 ok, good to know
how tall is the kit
Dion-Andre Jules not very, at least as MG kits go..........but he is wide
okay, thanks
Dion-Andre Jules its not as small as the Victory Gundam but smaller then a Strike kit.
YESSS!!! DX BABY LET'S GOO!!! And i made it to the 301+ club. lol Give me a cookie.
Hey Jabman, would you do me the honor of checking my review of this guy??
press the paper in the wings it gives a sick effect
