How many days are you staying in Dubai? Also it depends what are you planning to do. Renting a car might not be the best option… Taxi is relatively cheap

@@peterdragon1607 If you are staying for 5 days in Dubai and 2 days in Abu Dhabi, my suggestion is to rent a car for a week. In this case, you have a lot more flexibility. They are a number of car rental companies in Dubai airport. It is very similar to other North America and Europe ariports. Many of this car rental are international companies. Just check on line about price and pick the car rental company you are most familiar with. Two useful tips when you visit UAE: 1) If you need local money, currency exchange at the airport and hotel is very expensive. Just go to any big mall and you will find many currency change outlets and they offer much better rates. 2) There are lots of speed cameras in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, especially the hwy between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. A lot of locals drive really fast because they know where the cameras are located. But as a tourist Do NOT SPEED to avoid speed tickets which are VERY VERY expensive.
Thank you for your analysis. I am not so optimistic about the economic growth of Canada. Some effect of lower interest rate is offset by tax increment of all kinds, which erodes the purchasing power. The central bank is in a paradox now or very near future. I have to blame the Government for wasting money without substantial move to attract foreign capital investment.
