The fact that some people like Schaffrillas Productions prefer Chicken Little over this underrated masterpiece is completely jarring. This movie is miles better than Chicken Little! Hell, it's even better than Frozen!
I love dinosaurs myself and I'm an expert about the ones i know. Unlike Jurassic Park which is about people playing God which is a sin. This movie did it all right that these creatures did not coexist with us back then. Carnotaurus is another of my favorite dinosaurs with Tyrannosaurus Rex.
I remember being utterly blown away by the cgi of this movie when my aunt took me to see this in Trafalgar Square when I was about fourteen/fifteen and it is still incredible to this very day. They just do not make movies like this anymore, what a composer, what a film, just sheer brilliance if you ask me
I really can't express my love for this movie... This movie... Was just. So good. This is probably the first movie I've ever watched in my life. And no matter how many times I watch it....it gives me such great joy. I just watched it today and my day instantly became 3000000 times better. The last time I watched it was probably 10 years ago. This brought me so much happiness.
I was 3 when it released so I don’t think I saw it in the cinema but man to hear this score in the soundtrack with those visuals would be impressive but have Fond memories of it. I think I’ll rewatch it again soon on Disney+ it’s so great
At least this has a ride compared to Treasure Planet. But yes, this is more nostalgic than that. Just beautifully realistic. Nothing's looked as good since.
This is definitely one of those nostalgic films, personally. Just rewatched this after a long while. Forgot how good it really was. The music is what always makes me want to return to these classic movies of my childhood. Seriously underrated.
I must have watched this film a hundred times when I was younger... my absolute favorite! The film and its soundtrack will always hold a special place in my heart.
15 years ago today, this movie came out and I remember seeing this in the theater. It's moments like this that make me feel old... and I'm going to turn 21 next month.
***** I remember seeing it in theaters too!!! I was only 4 yrs old then, and I kind of slept through most of the movie lol. But I still remember that day, and the VHS days that would follow, seeing the sneak peaks and watching the whole movie when my aunt brought it over. So many memories :)

People bring up Atlantis or Treasure Planet as underrated Disney films, and I love those to death, but I seriously think that THIS movie needs more love.
This has always been a part of my Childhood and me. To hear the music of it brings goosebumps to my skin and causes my heartbeat to increase. I want to watch it again.
4:57 the calming ending with only joy and peace to tell us that the dinosaurs will live happily ever after in paradise after a dangerous journey. May only wonderful stories and lucky legacies live on!
Why dont they make a second movie? Where Aladar finds his mother or where his kids grows up and stuff, come on it was a great movie, it marked my childhood, and after 15 years, nothing? D:
My two year old niece brought me the VHS tape from the movie shelf a few days ago while babysitting. I sat down with her, and we watched it. Honestly i forgot this movie even existed, and though the cgi hasnt aged super well, if you remember when it came out and just roll with it, then you'll find yourself enjoying it. What stuck out though was the damn music. I listen to a lot of film soundtrack, and i can tell you NOTHING from what ive heard in recent years has evoked this sense of adventure and emotion at this scale. It just leaves you awe struck and its been stuck in my head since we watched it. We need more music like this in movies i believe.
This movie and its music is SOOOOOOO nostalgic! I watched it like a dozen times when I was a kid. Same with Tarzan, Lion King, The Fox and the Hound, Shrek, I know all those movies' lines and score by heart! Also, I wonder if those two Carnotaurs were simply heading for the Nesting Grounds just like the herd? Probably. They could've been mates, the smaller one being the male and the bigger one a female. I feel kinda bad for them now.
Totally underrated Disney movie. It's like nowhere to be found and rarely played on the Disney channel also. They should include this with the other Disney movies like Cinderella/Maleficent/Moana etc and include this in their list when playing Disney movies on TV.
I am in love with this soundtrack and the movie is really good too :) Such genius by James Newton Howard, easily one of the best composers for film today :) Dinosaur captures every single feeling you could want, intensity, love, drama, excitement, action, peril and sadness. :) Its a work of art.
Be honest who just watched it after 10 fucking years and wanted to hear this amazing tune?!?!?! Cuz I sure as hell did. This movie is my fucking childhood and made me love dinosaurs.
Well, at least it seems this movie was a financial success, me and many of my friends remember it. It costed them some $127.5 million and it returned $349 million according to sensei wikipedia

great story, great soundtrack, great CGI. This movie is perfect in every angle

Eh, the story was really cliche and uninspired. A missed opportunity, really. The soundtrack and CGI are phenomenal, though.
@@Blackratsnake As long as the story is told well, "cliche and uninspired" shouldn't matter.
