It’s our Halloween special, so brace yourself for a spooktacular night of dance. The remaining 11 couples will be giving it their all in the ballroom to enchant the judges, and you at home, with some spellbinding routines. The standard of dance this series is so high it’s scary, and no-one wants to find themselves in the dreaded dance-off.

Best dance of the night! The fact that nobody noticed the "mistake" apart from the judges shows just how fabulous this couple are. Kelvin is consistently brill & Oti is the best choreographer ever... glitter ball is well overdue... stop robbing her

Oti probably could have won 2016 if people weren't so focused on the Clifton sibling rivalry. No matter what people say about Motsi being a judge. If Kelvin got to the finals and won, he deserved it.
I saw the mistake the first time the dance happened (but only coz I was looking at their feet at that moment) other than that it was flawless
Savannah Krystall he does an extra kick at 1:05 and doesn’t match Oti like he should.
I saw it when watching live. Pretty obvious, I normally miss mistake but not that one.
Why does Otis choreography excel when it comes to darker more evil dances, this was top notch. And for a tango in places really fast which made their synchronicity even more impressive. 9/10
She loves dark dances more she said so herself or dark pieces of music rather than romantic pieces but she's also amazing at those and the fun dances as we've seen!

SERIOUSLY though DAMN oti. just. i'm never over her choreo, ever. kelvin still dancing while on wires, the leg move, the ending so sudden and the change of fortune throughout... i honestly didn't spot the mistake #notadanceexpert but i was just so, so transfixed by the choreography, and kelvin danced it so well. the staccato and the sharpness, dealing so well with the tricky tricky choreo and timings, acting it all too (he's an actor sure but it's hard to act and dance together when one is new to you), i just... oti is a queen, kelvin is so good, they are my absolute favourites by now and i adore watching them every week. when they get to the final i want them to repeat every dance but gOD this could be so flawless if they did it again. i LOVE i love
kiera h I think Gary and Otis portrayed this dad dancing really well! This was around 1.18 and she asked her dad the opinion about her boyfriend Kevin Tiffany. Dad was killing the relationship! Well done! - completely in character!

Yes I agree, one little mistake which all the judges zoomed into, please, this guy is did aerial work and delivered a fantastic sharp performance, at least 1 ten would have been nice, for concept and delivery alone, I am sure Alfonso would have awarded him that! I want them both to win, as in my opinion, they have been just terrific throughout!
A couple of weeks ago, the judges we drooling over him, said it was perfect.....they give him 9s. This week perfect with a mistake...9s. How can he improve with these inconsistent scores 😡 he’s a fab-u-lous!!!! 🕺,

There was a mistake at 1:06 but that was about it for me. Great footwork, hard to see sometimes in the dry ice but when viewable it was brilliant. Good frame and good quality connection together really good. A pop Tango turned into a traditional Tango. One of the best of the night really good, I loved it. *9/10* fabulous

Great head moves from Kelvin at the beginning of the dance, sharp. Brilliant timing to the beat. I believe he'll win.
It took my breath away! Absolutely stunning! Pretty flawless footwork, fantastic musicality, great characterization and creating the dramatic character of the tango, fabulous frame and posture as well. Probably it was technically the best tango EVER on the show, but for me it was a little bity spoiled by Oti's choreography - they broke the hold during the dance too many times and also there was a tiny little mistake in his footwork, which was almost unnoticed. Just a tiny little wobble. It was without any doubt Kelvin's best dance yet, it was not far from perfection, it was such an unbelievable improvement on his waltz and above all - it was probably the best tango in strictly history. A 9.

Holy crap his timing is perfection. I had to watch a 2nd time to see this mistake, and yeah if it's the part I'm thinking of it is pretty noticeable once you're looking for it. But I still thoroughly loved this routine start to finish. (9)

I agree I didn't notice the mistake either. Kelvin has been terrific in all his dances so far.
This was so good! I wanna give props to the band too on this one. Took me a bit to realise it was not really Billie Eilish singing
There were some mistakes in the footwork, but even though this is a tango-based song, its pretty advanced. I mean they still excellent in the key parts. Had lots of attack. Brillant top line. This was a classic ballroom tango that I enjoyed from beginning to end. 9!
Kelvin is noticed for his Latin due to his physique and fast footwork. However, after this performance, I am convinced he is better at Ballroom. Let me tell you a few things (0:49) the lead and power he produced to keep someone of Oti's athleticism and size to his side and make it seem literally seamless is crazy. At (1:04) when getting back into the hold, this is now a Pro Ballroom hold, the elbow height is brilliant along with his calm shoulders. From (1:13 to 1:15) the change in pace is mesmerising and lastly, his soft knees are what is required in Tango so bravo! The mistake ruined it from a 10 for me so it's a 9.

Nothing to say but he is very surprisingly good. Never expected him to be as strong.
Everything about this is amazing. The song is amazing, especially for Halloween Week. It fits the Tango. They are vampires, and I love vampires. Amazing! Deserved more scores than it got. Yeah, they made a mistake, but I didn't notice it. Just goes to show how much they recovered. That little mistake is like the getting up on the wrong knee moment in Joe and Dianne's Paso last year. Maybe if they get to the finals, they should do this again just to nail it, like Joe did.

Loved this routine! It’s a really big shame about the mistake otherwise it’d have been full 10s! This is something I’d love to see again without the mistake. Lovely that he kept going on and never showed in his face that he messed up.
Also, I just wanted to mention that every time someone gets lifted on stage and the camera focuses on the professional dancer, I can’t help but imagine the celeb frantically trying to take off safety straps like a madman (though I’m sure in reality it’s perfect and I know they’ve rehearsed and all that jazz) xD

Actually really liked the song choice on this one and it really went well with the dance and the choreo. I thought that there might have been something wrong with Kelvin here because it looked as though he was tired or didn’t have it in him. And didn’t put as much effort in as I have seen him before. I want samba Kelvin back, I want him to be alive and kicking. I’d give this a 9 still.

It's crazy that I'm from the USA and I love this version of the show more than the USA version. I wish they would put the judges comments as well, not just the scores..
@Doot Doot Since I don't really know the celebs that go on Strictly I would say true, but I think the quality of the dances on Strictly are better and I noticed that on Strictly the female Pro's don't dress as if they barely have anything on. The US version is seems to be the less fabric the better.
@Doot Doot - Don't forget also that the US has a far, far bigger pool of celebs to 'fish' in :)

Lerato Hajie Kelvin is actually the favourite. He’s leading in all the polls, at the bookmakers etc and he has a much bigger following than Karim! Oti also has a huge fanbase so together they’re really popular. He has to win he’s the better dancer imo. I prefer the way he dances and I mean he is brilliant in both ballroom and latin whereas Karim only really stands out in ballroom.
Who cares about the mistake if you got performance like that!

They dropped a point each and that is very fair with a mistake. Saying 4 points were dropped takes the context out,even if it's frustrating when they are our favourites. If someone had scored only an 8, then I would back you up. 🤣
Apart from the mistake it for me was the best dance of the night (apart from Michelle). I take back my comment that I thought he will struggle in Ballroom. I can’t wait for his Paso. 9.5!

Not the same at all. Katya was on the floor and Sean pulled her up by the leg. Kelvin lifted his leg and Oti held on to it while he stretched forward. Similar but not the same move.
*Video ends* Sorry... I seem to have lost my train of thought. That was stunning. Intense, clear story and beautiful movement. Seen the video three times and only just seen the mistake. It is so minor and Kelvin's see through shirt isn't helping my attention span.

Ellie B In the midweek review there was a section where they were to hook legs, In the show he went early if you play it back you see his leg caress the back of Oti’s calf, it does look a little strange and of course the judges would know something had gone wrong even if they didn’t know what.
Yvonne Gordon I didn't watch the show, so don't know what the judges said, but presumed people on here were referring to 1:06, where Kelvin and Oti momentarily are doing different things on the quarter beats.
That's kind of silly. From a technical point of view he makes tons of mistakes. His frame is not properly connected to his lower body, which is really obvious in things like the Spanish drag towards the end, but compared to the average performance on strictly it is good. 10s have been given to worse dancers.
Please do this again in the finals guys.

Great....he has been good from the start which makes me think he already had some basic dance training, which is fine by me but when it comes to the final I will always vote for the ones who have come up from knowing nothing. 9/10
He actually doesn't have any dance experience at all. He's just naturally talented, hard working and Oti is a great teacher and choreographer. How she can break it down so that he gets the right technique for each dance is impressive. Plus a great team and friendship helps
People assume he has because he's good but some people just have natural talent..... he hasn't had any training and didn't even go to stage or acting school either
