I do like the fact that in all of the musical numbers of the show in the OBC, Anatoly has a slight Russian accent when speaking/singing. Not as strong as Molokov’s, yes, but still very subtly noticeable. It adds to the character rather than detracts from it.
I love this musical...The power, the game, the risks, the emotion, the challenge, the endurance, the determination, the absolute focus and concentration....The ultimate....Only to WIN!! To be the world champion of the hardest and most strategic game ever designed.4.2020.
I saw CHESS in London, and I saw CHESS on Broadway. I was dazzled by one, and I was involved and touched to the heart by the other. This is the one I prefer.
@@gabekillian2761 In fact, Freddie didn’t interrupt in the end on the concept album, it was added when staged in the West End. Likewise, he interrupts the song in the Broadway version too, but strangely they didn’t include his intrusion at the end in the official Broadway recording

Wow, they really murdered the text for this production.
Also removed much of the harmony. The Broadway changes are basically universally baffling.
Does Freddie not interrupt in the end like in the original?
The concept album is before they had any in Between scripted
Karl Pálsson He does, it’s just not in the album.
@@gabekillian2761 This isn’t the concept album
@@JF-sh2sm I know. I mean that's the difference
