Lyrics: Should I run or should I stand? It's an old debate 'Cause sometimes it's a bluff charge, and sometimes it ain't. Can they run down hill? Can they climb a tree? Maybe that's just black bears, I can't remember, hmm, let's see! Should I shut up or should I shout And maybe try and scare him off? Or will pretty much most anything I do just piss him off? In the end it doesn't matter What you choose to do of course When 800 pounds of Grizzly Bear Outruns a Quarter Horse Well them old grizzly blues Got me kinda confused As to just what to do About them bears. Yeah them old Grizzly blues Got some conflicting views And not too much good news About them bears. Well I think I read it someplace, 'They kill only what they eat' So I fumbled through that guidebook Just how often do they eat meat? Somebody find some matches, Let's do a study of some kind. We'll make it scientific, And let's see what we can find. Cause he looks almost friendly, With that Easy Amblin' Gait. But when he decides he's hungry it makes me wanna hibernate! Well them old grizzly blues Got me kinda confused As to just what to do About them bears. Yeah them old Grizzly blues Got some conflicting views And not too much good news About them bears. We've all heard that old chesnut, You don't outrun the Grizz' You just outrun your slowest Buddy, Whoever that guy is. That cub you found's Adorable He' cute yes I agree. There's only one thing missing And that's Mama, where is she? They'll dig up dead horses They smell 20 Miles away. Tommy* Said it happened On the ranch, Just this way. Now I'm all for conservation I said protect the kitchen sink But this bear don't seem endangered, It might be me that goes extinct! Well them old grizzly blues Got me kinda confused As to just what to do About them bears. Yeah them old Grizzly blues Got some conflicting views And not too much good news About them bears. *Excellnt Song as always, Corb. I see you're up to Mentioning Friends by name as you are oft want to do. At least this one was a little easier to understand than "Curty," Haha. This one had a lot of words all packed into a tight space, But that is what you do so well. Looking forward to the full album release!

You sang i wanna be in the cavalry 12 years ago im not sure about anyone else but i graduated basic training as a 19D cavalry scout to the tune of that song
GREAT SONG! “you don’t out run the grizz... just out run your slowest buddy” ... Good advice... gotta find me a slower buddy. Looking forward to the album.
all you need is a .22 rifle. you say BS to this but wait friend let me explain. You're out with your friends having a nice stroll through the forest when the griz comes looking for dinner. so all you do is take out your .22 shoot one of your buddies in the leg and then run.
Jesus!! A few years back, I encountered a small black bear while riding my bicycle. The song summed up the panicked thoughts that ran through my mind in the first 15 seconds or so.
NICE!! Adding this to my driving mix for tomorrows drive to my Uncle Joe's south of Manyberries. Dam I miss that Rodeo and the Southern Ranchmen's Inn. Keep making great tunes Corb.
Corb, such a delightful song. It reminds me of an incident that happened when I was younger. Dad had rented a cottage in Jasper for a week. My mum was reading a book, my brother and I were playing clue, and Dad was just looking around for another book. Suddenly, my mum let out a weak scream, looking at the open door. We'd left it open to let the lovely breeze flow through. My Dad looked at the door, and a large bear was standing there. He quickly walked over, punched the bear in the nose, and as it backed off, Dad closed and locked the door. Then there was silence. Bear had left. We all laughed so hard, and hugged him. All were quite surprised. And proud.;-)).
regarding the confusion ask Jack Boudreau. wrote many books about around here. hunted them like no other back in the day until he decided not to and just watch them. ever seen a sow dig out of a den with cubs? neither have i but ive read about it in a PAPER book and about around my way so more interesting
45-70 430g HMS . Then pray hahaha Heard old story's of them getting filled with 30-06 and charge 100 yards and dropping feet in front of the shooter. Could just be a fish tail.
This song and the "Agricultural Tragic" album are masterpiece creations of a rare talent. Thank you Corb and the Hurtin' Albertans!
This is 100% going on my hiker-yoga playlist
The Corb Lunds have one of the best bands in all of musicdom.

*dig up *dead* horses
I’ve been watching some grisly grizzly videos on TH-cam. Yikes! Anecdotally, they respond best to yelling in English or Russian, unless they don’t.

@@stanburk7392 ah just a dinky .25 ACP pistol no sense lugging the extra weight
Real talk, don't do that. If you run and your buddy stands still, the bear is probably going to go after you.
I am from Alaska, I've had success with slowly backing up and a little Irish luck.

Great stuff. Polar bear approved! "Here I am I got nothing to lose, I'm in Jasper with them grizzly bear blues."

Keep making great tunes Corb.

it's relative. compared to me and you they have plenty of endurance compared to most prey animals they don't.
Sorry I missed tha show
My brother lives in a place called bear bottom. There's a reason for that. There's bears down there!!!!
